If you were to make a story based on your first story as challenge. Like with the experience now as a veteran author would your first story be better if you were to go back and write it again but with better plot and stuff?

I'm currently working on my 3rd draft of my first story so I guess I'm remaking it with the knowledge I've gained over the years. That, and I'm working on extending it so that I can make a proper conclusion.

If I had time, yes! I'd love that idea. My first story was trash so I'd have to do a lot of revising

I would, but based on the perspective of the FL this time. Since her head is always empty with no thoughts, it's going to be a very short story.

Would you go back and make a story based on your first story?

There are many things I would like to change about Signs of the times, but, I can't seem to get myself to rewrite it. I wasn't experienced back then. I only knew how to write fanfiction and didn't use a grammar checker. Maybe one day I will rework it, but for now, I will focus on writing new stories.

The Marwaithyr Rift is just that, or it was supposed to be, it was a short story on fanfic 10-12 years ago and I thought I'd make it into a novel.
Apart from one character name, it now bears absolutely no resemblance to that short story....and the character himself isn't anything like the original either!

My first story was a self-insert Ocarina of Time crackfic.

... Sure, I'd remake that. Hell, I almost did remake that. Only stopped by realizing I didn't remember how OoT actually goes.

that would be almost 20 years ago when i was in grade school. it's kinda hard enough to remember the details since i don't keep any copy of files that old. not even a notebook.

but sure, it can be a good idea to base on my new story from. what makes it easier was that i got inspired to write while playing breath of fire iv back then.
