From all the consequences I could think of coming from swallowing the moon Lycanthropy would probably the latest and smallest issue I'd have on my list.

"is tasked" so like someone told her to swallow the moon? also, probably not. I'm picky with romances featuring the pair on opposite sides of an issue, especially if they're a squabbling type of couple. "Forbidden romance"

Issues I have with this plot.

Issue #1. This sounds like a ludicrously small-time consiquence for literally swallowing the moon. This story idea is effectively marked off my consideration just for that fact alone.

Issue #2. Lycanthrope with a romantic plot, particularly with a female protagonist and male love interest, is just about the single most tired and cliche plot among the bad fan-fictions. For the negative associations with these plots, all the times it's been done horribly, once again this one issue is enough to make me never want to read this thing.

Issue #3. The plot, lift the curse + love plot + hiding from people wanting to use their power, is another tired and practically phoned-in plot. This isn't at the "enough to make me avoid it by itself" level, but it does lower it on my considerations list by several ranks.

Issue #4. The plot mentioned above, particularly the people wanting to use a person's powers and therefore they have to hide (let's just ignore the love plot here for the moment,) is a plot that doesn't even make sense at all. If they have power, why can't they just eliminate the people wanting to use them? If they don't have the power to eliminate the pursuers, why is their power worth being used for? If they can pose a threat to the person with the power, it clearly means their pursuers have even more power, and therefore it makes no sense to pursue this person. No matter which way you interpret it, the plot just does not make sense.

Issue #5. The mere fact that I could think up 4 other cripplingly serious issues with this premise. The fact that 4 other issues exist, and they are all very critical issues, means there is absolutely no way I would ever even consider reading this story.

If you want to gain reader ? No

Werewolf/Vampire romance is quite outdated these days. And Harry Potter FF is starting to get out of trend, albeit at very slow pace.

"Harry Potter × Twilight" isn't new trend at all. Many potential reader can see what it would be about :

"Another angsty teenager meeting a mature handsome wolf and it's twilight all over again, but there's harry Potter spell involved.

Guess stars including : Dumbledore, Harry and co., Severus, Tom Riddle, and Bunch of Goblin and house elf for party.

Don't forget to include descriptions for things that comes from twilight
"

If you really want to gain reader from here (Scribble Hub), you need to at least include GL/BL shit and try to use "Reincarnated to Fantasy world" as a bait.

"Reincarnated to Fantasy world" is a useful excuse to cover up your shitty Self Insert inside character, while also a good excuse to shape the FL/ML as your biased view would want them to be.

That will help tremendously with gaining reader that will otherwise would disguise the story of werewolf finding mate in mating season.

*****

If you want to practice your writing, yes, it's a good theme.

Practice your wording and paragraphs, make it has decent Paragraph tidiness to at least ensure it would be publisher ready (even of the plot is too bland and too shitty to gain audience).

There's lots of reference for you to read since with has been created lot and lots of times.

Follow the good examples and avoid the bad examples.

Subvert the tropes whenever you can, and change the filler into useful details for world building.

It's okay to not gain reader at first. You need to have decent tidiness in writing to make sure you have the proper writing skillto be published.

It’s interesting honestly but I’m not into love stories/romance genre itself but you should do it if you like it!
Though it may be outdated since I saw many of those that can be considered as a cliche somehow…

If the moon vanished because Luna ate it wouldn't there be bigger problems than weather or not her and max's love survives?

I'd shy away from it more because a planetary body vanishing in the first chapter is a bit cringe.

Wait, so angsty teen eats a celestial body multiple million times bigger than her and gets cursed with something that needs the moon to be even considered anything? That's a paradox right there.

Also needing to hide when you literally obliterated a celestial body is kinda... Why? By rule of mass conservation alone she should be either a deity or a few steps above that.

Also hairy moon-men are only scarry during full moon, oh wait, there's no moon anymore si they're just normal hairy men now.

Enough of that, tho. It's good enough of a start and nobody would hate you for writing what would amount to being the village bicycle of YA fiction. So go for it if you want.

No.

What would be #1?
Not sure about the ranking but I'd have:
Ocean going completely havoc causing enormous destruction on the coast line because someone fucked up the whole system of tide and flood, not to speak of the ecological catastrophe.
A greater number of pissed-off coastline inhabitants because of the aforementioned reasons.
Problems with the planet's rotation as well as possible issues to stay on the usual course in the solar system if the celestial body is gone.
No idea about large-scale magical complications in this fantasy world (not even speaking about related gods: moon or ocean).
Whatever organizations and counter-organizations are involved in this kind of shenanigan, someone is going to be after you, be it out of vengeance or to silence you for this stunt.
Stomach ache?
