You transmigrated into a stereotypical isekai adventure as a minor character, and the hero of your party needs some advice.
Specifically, the hero has some kind of OP passive charm ability, so literally everybody that your party encounters likes him. In fact, everyone in your party likes him as well, and they all want to sleep with him! The hero approached you for advice because somehow you are immune to his charm ability.
Anyhow, the main issue is that everyone is too jealous! It's reached a point that your own party is falling apart because they're all fighting over him. Yesterday, the heroine dueled the paladin, and they almost killed each other. The thief tried to poison the magician, and you're also caught in the middle in the mayhem because everyone hates how the hero always turns to you for advice.
The hero's charm ability also works on enemies. Your party encountered a horde of goblins and trolls, and they started killing each other because they couldn't agree on who gets the hero first. Your party actually has zero combat experience because fighting is entirely unnecessary; the hero just charms every opponent. Whenever you encounter a king, queen, sage, or anyone important figure, they automatically swoon in the presence of the hero and give your party anything you want.
The hero approaches you and confesses that he's tired of all this.
He doesn't like anyone (he's asexual) and wishes that everyone would stop trying to climb into bed with him.
He muses that maybe if he just picked someone and married them... perhaps all of the crazy suitors would give up.
Then he suddenly asks if you would be willing to marry him?
The hero explains that he is asking you because you seem to be the only person in the world who is immune to his charm ability. This is a relief to him (he's asexual), and he would like to have a fake marriage with you to stop all the people constantly bothering him. Aside from being married in name, you would have absolutely no romantic/sexual relations, and you would just be friends.
The hero understand's that this is a lot to ask for... but...
Since his charm ability is OP, he promises that he'll try to give you anything you want. If you want a million gold coins, it's really easy for him to obtain for you that because he can just ask the richest person in the world and they would give it to him. His only request is that the you act like you're married to him in public to prevent people from trying to mob him.
Would you marry him?

1. What would you say to the hero? What advice do you have?

2. Would you ever consider a fake marriage with someone if the compensation was worth it?

3. Is there anything that the hero could do differently to make this arrangement seem more favorable?

4. Would your answer change if you found the hero attractive? (Or if the hero was a gender that you were attracted to?)

Sure! I could get something out of this as well since I'm not interested in monogamy. As long as the hero doesn't mind having a slut for a wife, this could be a very nice arrangement. He could even use his charms to get the men I desire into bed with me. It sounds like we'll make a great team!

It's totally fucking evil on my part BUT I'd ask if she's willing to be part of my harem.

Yes, I heard you say "minor character" but hey, that doesn't mean I can't have my own side plot. I'll probably turn into that side character everyone likes so much that they'll have their own infinitely more popular spin-off.

Just because the hero has her own pursuit doesn't mean I don't have my motivations. And if I'm in an isekai I'd be pursuing my own harem.

See, from my POV, it works both ways. If I stick to a polygamous relationship that means I won't be bogged down by trad expectations of martial statuses. If the setting despises such Harems then so be it; it's much easier if everyone knows you're an asshole from the get go than to explain yourself awkwardly in conversation. On the Hero's side, she gets to be """married and engaged""". She don't even need to commit to it. Just be in a relationship "on paper" and make superfluous appearances to solidify out """relationship""".

And if she REALLY is truly that fucking attractive, then all the better; I'll get an eye candy to look at.

Of course, that isn't to say all is fine and dandy. I haven't discounted her abilities working on my harem. It'll be the greatest NTR joke the globe's ever seen. But fuck, that's a risk I'm willing to take.

No, sorry, the hero is male, as stipulated by the OP. Question number four is pure speculation. In light of this, I have to ask you one question:

1. What would you say to the hero? What advice do you have?
Sure buddy pal
2. Would you ever consider a fake marriage with someone if the compensation was worth it?
I don't like the idea of marrying or befriending someone if I don't gain any positive benefits so yeah sure.
3. Is there anything that the hero could do differently to make this arrangement seem more favorable?
Give me my own money and house, then we'll talk.
4. Would your answer change if you found the hero attractive? (Or if the hero was a gender that you were attracted to?)
As if...no this is not the typical tsun reply. I am not going to do just that...all I want is my sweet mansion and money.

1. What would you say to the hero? What advice do you have?

Hero, while i agree that this decision does seem plausible, i decline to be in a fake marriage. You know what happened to my family as i want to live a normal life.

So as your bestest friend, i shall continue helping you until you fall in love with someone you like but i prefer not to have any circumstances of having to make a fake marriage, especially to someone who would probably have his partner wake up in a dark room with multiple women surrounding me and torture me to death just so i separate from you.

As your best friend, bestest friend, you must be firm and reject those who approach you, even when you have to be blunt about it. You have your charm and you should work out a way so that women won't dominate your decision. Your best friend will always support your decision.

2. Would you ever consider a fake marriage with someone if the compensation was worth it?

No. I have already a RL experience with adultury and NTR so even with a fake marriage, i prefer that if its the only decision over a life of a person, you can still find more possible ways.

3. Is there anything that the hero could do differently to make this arrangement seem more favorable?

Even if he were to give me a watermelon farm, i may hesitate a little but still stick to my principle.

4. Would your answer change if you found the hero attractive? (Or if the hero was a gender that you were attracted to?)

Nope, you already gained an immunity to beautiful women that you'll be more loyal to someone you like, even if he isn't handsome.

I'd say... " But I AM in love with you! Just like everyone else! I am not immune! I am just very emotionally well-adjusted..."
Then I'd laugh and explain, "Nah, I am just joshing ya, I am not in love with you :blobrofl: :blobrofl: :blobrofl: "

I'd tell him to sort his life out, marrying me will not only not solve his problems, but simply expand the number of people being miserable.

The best thing to do is to fake his own death, wear a mask and go adventuring alone. If he is starved for human interaction get a pen pal.

Frankly, I am surprised I have stayed in the party for so long. The pay must have been very good for me to have stayed more than a week of missions, I mean if I am just standing around while the hero resolves everything with charm... why am I there? Where is m job satisfaction?

2. Would you ever consider a fake marriage with someone if the compensation was worth it?
:blob_hmm_two::blob_hmm_two::blob_hmm_two: consider yes always... but wither I accept those I imagine there are few if any scenarios I would accept.

3. Is there anything that the hero could do differently to make this arrangement seem more favorable?

Hmmm.... blackmail maybe... the threat of life...

4. Would your answer change if you found the hero attractive? (Or if the hero was a gender that you were attracted to?)

Probably not... the baggage they come with... out weight any superficial attraction... If I say yes does that mean I am also under the effect of the charm.... just that I didn't know it... DAN DAN DANNNN!!!

He seems like a cool guy, and I could see being friends with him if he doesn't have the personality of a block of wood. If you are sure that it will succeed, and nobody will try to kill me to get to him, why not?

Kill them all. Kill the harem. Problem solved. JK lol sucks to suck buddy.

Whether or not I'd agree would depend on my circumstances.
1. How strong am I? Am I a genuine weak minor character? Or am I a strong minor character? Considering none of them have much battle experience, I guess don't have to be that good to survive them. If I'm in the exact same state as I am now, I'd say no just to preserve my own life.

2. How likely am I to find an actual lover? Putting aside the trouble of trying to find someone who'd agree to being in a relationship with someone in a fake marriage, is it even possible to find someone else? Or does anyone, whether they're in a relationship or not, fall in love with the hero? I assume it'd be pretty hard to find someone to love with a glowing light bulb as a friend/husband. If we were to go down this train of thought, wouldn't the hero be the only person in this world I could be with? (assuming I'm looking for someone who actually loves me) I don't think I'd be able to love someone while knowing that they'd instantly fall in love with my bud as soon as they meet him. But the hero could also be 100% asexual and I'd have no chance with him, then I might as well consider myself forever alone permanently. If circumstance one suits my needs, then I'd probably say yes to help him out.
2. Would you ever consider a fake marriage with someone if the compensation was worth it?

All depends on the circumstances, but yeah I guess. I'd want money and lots of cheats though.
3. Is there anything that the hero could do differently to make this arrangement seem more favorable?

Protect me from jealousy attacks, and considering everyone is head over heels for him, it might not be that hard.
4. Would your answer change if you found the hero attractive? (Or if the hero was a gender that you were attracted to?)

I'd probably say no if I was attracted to the hero. If I ended up marrying him, I would probably try to bend him. If that's impossible, then the hero would be uncomfortable that the only person he thought he could have an intelligible conversation with, turned out to be like all the others. So it really depends on whether I could bend him or not.

1. '-'
You're an idiot.
Tell everyone you're asexual and that you won't get with anyone.
If that doesn't work, tell them you find everyone unattractive and ugly for fighting over him - it's a huge turn off.

2. No, since I'd receive the ire of everyone already having the mindset of killing 'rivals'.
Why would I marry someone I don't love?

3. '-'
Find a way to remove the OP charm ability? And make it permanent? Or at least give it an on/off switch.
'-'
Though, even that isn't appealing since he sounds like an idiot with no real skill or personality.
'-'
I actually question why I'm even in his party...is it the basically free food, money and accommodation by association?
'-'

4. I mean, wouldn't that defeat the whole point of him choosing me, then?
Also, no it wouldn't change since there would still be a mob of people wanting to get into his bed while offing me if I went along with the idea.
'-'
I prefer to stay alive and without difficulties.
>w<

I really do wonder how the paladin and heroine managed to get to the point of almost dying if they both had no combat ability.
OwO
Was it cos they're so inept they were injuring themselves?
Well, in that case, better to leave the party and let survival of the fittest work its magic on these idiots.
'-'
