Terminology:
Bottom to Top means MC starts as a nothing, or at least initially presented as having nothing.
For example, Kurosaki Ichigo, just a common delinquent who then grew to become a somebody.
And then found out he's a Ditto with shinigami father and a quincy mother who gave him a all-father for a grandfather and Hollow STD.
This was unfortunate but somewhat understandable.
If I must find a true B2T, it would be Deku and All Might being his crawling to top.
Fall from grace and claw back up... the CNs have way too many genius MCs who got some BS that made them regress/ stagnate and then VROOM, up they go.
And also so many bloody KR regression revenge thingies...
In case it wasn't clear, I like B2T and not so much on FallthenClaw even though they could be one and all.
I think what made me separate them clearly is the part where MC is shown as a capable know-it-all. Capable is fine, know-it-all is not, especially if he also ended up making grevious mistakes down the line that prove ruinous to his progression.
Anyway, which one do you enjoy more?
