A magical girl of love and possibly also some lust transmigrates you to another world.

After doing this, she explains there is a prince/princess whom she would want you to marry tomorrow as it is the very specific day that the stars in the galaxy align and it is the only day the marriage can happen in order to fulfill a certain special prophecy blah blah blah.

Since you have never met this princess/princess, she takes out two love potions and explains that if both of you drink it, you will fall hopelessly in love with each other, never fall out of love, and never grow tired of each other and in fact will continue to happily lewd each other all the way into old age. The love/lust would be unconditional, meaning that you would love/lust over each other regardless of how either of you look or behave. Neither of you will ever love/lust over anyone else, so it would be perfectly monogamous.

She tells you that if you agree to drink the potion, you will undeniably be very happy with your partner for the rest of your life.

Additionally, by fulfilling the prophecy by marrying the prince/princess on the ordained date (tomorrow), you would save the world and billions of lives.

If you refuse to marry the prince/princess, no one else can replace you and the prophecy will be broken and terrible suffering will be unleashed into the world.

The prince/princess has already agreed to drink the potion if you will also drink it.

What would you do?

As long as I get to keep my current hobbies, then deal. I get a princess gf, never have to worry about romance, watch anime and play video games, AND be regaled as a hero who saved the world? Yes please.

The pitch makes it sound like the prince/princess is an absolute dog. I agree to marry, and 'we' drink love potions. Cause I've seen people in love put up with some crazy stuff. Besides, think the the good karma.

Dont need the saving a bunch of people part.
Why would I say no to being happy? Only real downside I can see would be her age, sickness or other things that might result in her early death and my misery.

You left out we both take the love potion, but agree to date/be engaged before deciding on marriage.

Marriage
No potion
Fulfill prophecy
Divorce

yeah the prophecy only say that you only need to marry them, not be in love with them for the rest of your life. so you can just divorce them thereafter and not have to be tied with them forever.

Fine.

More princesses for me.

Correct.

If I do fall in love without the potion, so be it.

Personally, no way do I want anything to do with running a country.

I like the confidence where you believe that you would be next in line to the throne or something.
If it were me I'd probably get assassinated by choking on a pear a week after the marriage.

Just to be clear, do I need to convince the prince/princess to marry me the next day if I don't use the love potion?
And can I use the love potion for other things since I won't be using it?

Oh no, i have no illusions about that, I am fully willing to only fulfilling the big P and be cast aside.

Just saying, being throne/royalty/"power" adjacent is a terrible existence.

Would you answer be different if it wasn't a prince/princess? Like if they were a farmer or a random miller?

Or is your objection moreso towards having the authenticity of your feelings manipulated?

That.

A potion-ed me would not really be me.
It's not very different from me dying.

If it is required that i am potion-ed to fulfill the prophecy, fine.

But if there is a way to do it with out the potion. I choose that.
