It should be fine; they give you all the parameters you have to work with and fit them into that.

Maybe it’s the anime girl herself that’s not hooking me? Personally I’d like something more dynamic than just a girl posing to give a hint on what the story could be about (despite the text already saying it). Perhaps a specific moment in the story? Or even a little meme comic? Something more than a PowerPoint slide ? Just an idea!

I see several problems that would make me ignore it: the simple white background, bulletpoints and big red text.

The red text especially makes me think about those ads that say "AUGH, YOUR COMPUTIR GOT A VIRUS, UUUEH!"

RR is full of people who add stupid jokes or insane situations to their ads.

So this honest and serious ad, without all the bullshit, might be a breeze of fresh air. At least it attracts only the people genuinely interested in the story and not the ones who laughed about the stupid joke and then realize that they do not even care about the story.

At first, I thought it was a meme. The problem is that it looks too much like a generic advertisement that you see on most websites. And your idea of stuffing that girl in the smartphone screen was the worst.

It's as if you are forcefully trying to make it generic instead of unique.

I suppose there's nothing exactly wrong with the presentation itself, but the bullet points make your story fade away into the forest rather than stand out from the crowd. As others have pointed out the ad feels generic, its fundamental with the format. But I want to ask you as the author, what is the most interesting part of your story? What are you passionate about in the work? I think showing what makes it distinct, even if its a gimmick will make the ad a lot more distinct.

But don't mind me, I'm like an outsider, or... someone transplanted here as a time traveler from 1989, I suppose. I grew up reading old paperbacks.
