If you obtained powers that would you make you an effective supervillain, would you become a supervillain?

If so, what kind would you be? Are you the type of person who just wants to try it out for shiitake mushrooms and giggles? Will you be a purposeful killer or torturer? The type who is only called a supervillain because the government is targeting you for any number of reasons?

If not, what, if anything, would break you or change you to becoming a supervillain? Be it torture, something that genuinely and inescapably makes you insane, being framed unfairly, family members killed, whatever. At what point is becoming a villain inevitable for you if you refuse the inclination at the start?

Well, who is defining me as a villain? If my ability is to know the secrets of anyone I know the name of, I might be a nuisance to people around me but a villain to people higher up, assuming I have a way to spread them. If I get the ability of Medusa, I become a villain to everyone around me. If I gain the ability of mind control I would be a villain to everyone including myself if I used it outside of self defense. If I gained immortality in the truest sense, I would probably become a villain to those in power.

As a supervillain my biggest complaint is all of the other groups and idiots also trying to take over the world. Though not sure why anyone would want to do so.

I've got no idea what would have happened if I had gone insane. Maybe it would be the others who are insane :p. But, really, how do you picture something like that? It's a different state of mind. Anyone in a sense could be called insane. I definitely see myself trying to restore justice after being framed, through. I can see myself going against the regime, too. Like dealing with dictators and their allies. What kind... It really depends on the type of superpower. I don't know whether I'd have the guts to actually kill a person :o. Even if the world is bound to become a much better place in that case. I just don't know if it's in my power to decide such things... It's a last resort. It's probably better to make someone like that disappear without a fuss.
