I had one (litrpg) where I figured out the beginning, middle and end. Centered around a first-wave expeditionary demon that had the power to regress. The story would start out on the last life he had. Regressing to the point where he arrived for the first time (up until then, he kept going backwards in time by a few months only). A true fresh start with how he could help the invading demons conquer the human world.
What was it about? Him choosing to become the first demon with healing skills. Not bad, sure... Sounds kind of generic... The underlying issue was about how much he kept seeing how the human armies could regroup after battles. Demons would just be killed off and reinforcements would replenish the numbers.

The kicker would be what his previous life was about. And how he at times gets demoralized if he had made the right choice. His previous final build was an incubus. So, a lot of rape and pillaging.
I was going to go off the ideas that:
A) Demons are bad
B) Healing is good
C) Magic is neutral. It's how it is used that makes it good or bad.
Fellow demons would be skeptical or even hostile to him for going with a "good" aligned choice. Whenever he would get demoralized he'd reminisce about how useful he was as a mid-corporate level boss in his previous life. And...his accomplishments...
Accomplishments:
Leveling really fast given his original starting location. In the middle of the boonies doing the ultra-sex levelling. No real threat and with his early OP start, he gets promoted to a captain.
Taking the pressure off of his brethren by making himself a target. Allowing for a foundational work to be made by other demons for later use. Other minor things.
Eventually leading up to the bread n butter of the conflict: The heroes' harem. In short, he fucks all of them. Most get pregnant. The OP team that the hero would have had get taken out of the conflict.
Now instead of a reclused lady in the country that had a promising future, there is an experienced martialist running around with no check. A nun? Nope. Now an unstoppable bulwark. The greatest magic user in 1000 years? Not halfway around the world anymore. Healer? No longer game ended herself.
The sword saint that had no equal? I don't think I've really given you an idea of what I had planned so, here goes. Originally, she would have separated from the hero. From a far too prominent family that people couldn't even ridicule her. There would have been not too much back lash since she was supposed to be written as stoic and duty bound. And that was the way for the MC to get to her.
See, she was a bit too duty bound. She ignored her kid and let her be raised by servants and family and teachers and... the MC. The father fully in her life without anyone knowing. Late-night visits (stop thinking it. I'm not that depraved!), fatherly outings to the best places for a kid to be a kid, etc. etc. That he guaranteed being a perfect dad to her.
And used her to try to kill her mother, the sword saint. Wasn't able to; she only managed to cripple her mother. But, the saint was forced to kill her child and was broken after that. Leading to the capital to be overrun.
The rest would have been about how he could no longer sleep his way into information and easy distrust among political friends. Creating an even stronger defense amongst the humans. While the demons, now no longer being killed off constantly, get higher levels by surviving more. Shifting the terrain with even more grandiose spells and skills. Altering war zones by having more or less troops in locations that the MC was sure would be an easy/hard time with.
It would have ended with the demons being driven back. The humans at about the same defeated circumstances as the first life of the MC. The MC amongst the retreating but, with an epilogue on how now several new demon lords (thanks to MC keeping them alive) and not just one, are convening. MC is declared their leader and begin planning another invasion. Bit of a tease that the "heavens are opening" to suggest that the humans will be getting help. Since ya know, it's not one demon lord but, idk 8? I think was the last number I chose. 7 deadly sins as demon lord generals and MC some sort of official Satan title. Or 30 because I tossed a number out and hoped for the best.
P.S. I toned it the hell down and now been writing on/off for a similar good n evil premise but with bad can do better than good.
