MC's cheat is literally double EXP. As in one training sword swing equals to two and he is twice as fast to level up etc.

I recalled not reading them due to some reason like the concept being done poorly.

I know it is wish fulfilment, but it is badly pulled off and no sense of danger.

The 2nd I've stoped quickly but monster paradise have some good part but yeah it's a long read.
I have just these two in my mind when it come to double exp.

I've seen a light novel where the mc had that. Don't remember what it was called, but basically the mc is transported to the new world, and the starting job is Jobless, which most people drop as soon as they hit the requirements to get a new job (which I think is level 5?), and it doesn't give any skills or anything, but the mc levels it past that for whatever reason and starts getting skills that boost exp rate and stuff, and also give extra Job slots. Also, technically, what you described would be a 4x growth, if you acquire double xp, and only require half as much xp to level up. Which I believe is what that novel had.

On Earth he was job hunting and stuff, so he was distressed that he basically had to keep the Jobless job because it was so good,

hellmode has the opposite bonus, 1/2 exp but no level cap.

"A budding scientist in another world" has quicker levelling as an integral part of the system that anyone can have access to via achievements and lvl up boosts. Like, it's common knowledge there's a caste of immortals that usually gathered around 1000% boost on their respective field. But the MC isn't special aside from a rather small starting boost. Also, the story is about to lose the first arc due to book release. You'd have to quickly read/copy that part.

Eh maybe. I enjoyed it when I read it, but my standards were pretty low at the time. Also, I misremembered, the exp stuff wasn't a result of jobless, but of some blessings from a couple goddesses.
