I work in IT, and usually I have enough free time to write after work, but because I also go to Uni and learning how to drive at the same time, I don't actually write all that much.

Yeah, life comes at you fast! how are the studies going?
I write every day, and I run a shop 6 days out of 7.
That sounds like a solid schedule. do you get a lot of writing done everyday or just whatever comes out?

I have health issues that preclude me from working elsewhere, and I'm not really qualified for anything remote in my area. So I'm WFH self-employed. I just write whenever I choose. Often times I bounce back and forth between work and writing. 200-300 words here, an hour of work, then back and forth, etc.

I have a strict schedule, so I usually do between 12k - 14k words per week.
That's awesome! I need to discipline myself to that level
At the moment, I'm unemployed, but I plan on enlisting in the Army soon.
Good luck with that! That will dramatically impact your word count lol
I'm skipping math classes, and using a laptop in English class
That explains why you are surprised to be passing lol
I work as a Web Developer, so I have plenty of free time most days to do some writing.
I always wish I had more time to spend writing until I get that time. Then I just procrastinate.
I used to write for an hour or two after I got home from work. That was the only time I had for a while.
I did that once years ago. I actually finished a novel doing that. It definitely can help

That sounds like a nice routine. Get stuff done but also take some breaks.

I am a hack.

I only write after when I don't want to do my work (and not get caught doing so.)

If in my free time, I gravitate to reading others' works and porn, which is both constructive as I can poach ideas and destructive because it shows me how well others do when I cannot.

If I get more than one word per week, it is a good week
