I am a new author and I try to write a chapter with 2 - 3k words per day but when sometimes I write less than 3k words and leave the chapter on 1.5k or less than 2k I feel like something is wrong with my writing style but I can't decide that should I continue to write the chapter if it is already completed?

For example, I wrote a novel and it is ending on the line... "I love you" and then I want to end the chapter... But the chapter only has 1-1.5k words... Should I add the next chapter words in that chapter to make it big or just leave it as it is?

Or add another pic like "I love you" which was said by the boy after the date and then I should add the girl's pov for the whole date?

Would it be extra or just a part of the novel and make it look good?

Need answers ?

There is no answer to this question. Just do what you feel is right and do what you want. However, you will probably ignore this advice as you want a specific answer, so I will give you one. You can always increase your word count by adding descriptions and by adding body language. Add these two things throughout the chapter, and you will reach that coveted 2k words.

:blobtaco:looking at your words count I thought, "Am I that lazy to write only 1K words a day?"

Will, it does not irritate the person reading? I mean I usually skip these parts or is this normal? Sorry if somethings rude...

I am really Lazy. I just wrote 2000 words for my story " Tiring".
I deleted words UNtil there were only 686 words left.

This is the link to check it:

Tastes differ. My opinion is that descriptions are necessary to make the scene vivid, while body language makes characters real and believable. But at the same time, I think there are a lot of readers who skip those parts like you. This is why I said, do what you think is right and do what you want. If you want to please those kinds of readers, do it. If you write for yourself, do it.

I see... Most of the time overthink and think about others... I will try to write from others' reading perspectives after reading from mine...
