Didn't the guy that originally wrote the book about Yasuke being a samurai use evidence from a wiki and other articles that he personally had a hand in editing. Like, the most we actually know about Yasuke was that he did exist, met Oda, and possible became a retainer though even that is questionable.

Also, that website you link to doesn't prove he was a samurai. It just proves that, yes, he was indeed real, which no one was arguing. It's over whether he was a samurai, retainer, or didn't really have a larger role besides being someone Nobunaga was curious about.
