I think the best thing to explain this is by mentioning what JP, KN and CN has in common. They're all obsessed with reincarnation/transmirgation/going back in time.

JP with their isekai world hopping and Virgin mc's

CN with their young master slaughtering any sects that offended him in the past (and getting all the ladies)

And KN? Well necromancy seems pretty cool. I guess the reason why necromancy became so big is because KN's love to make big bad villains or evil occupations the main focus. The demon lord was actually a good guy and got betrayed at the end?! He dies but comes back several years in the past. He learns necromancy because it's looked down upon but he knows the potential!

It's just like that. Literally, I've read hundreds and they all do it like that. Depends on the genre sure, but most fantasy/escapism stories do it.

in german language there is a saying "Det ligger en hund begraven här", which means "here is where the dog is buried". You say it when something doesn't seem quite right.

It comes from how people usually didn't bury dogs, and they were discarded and lie to rot wherever their owner threw them away- if they even had an owner in the first place. So if you see a buried dog, damn, that's fishy.

if it makes you feel any better, there is exactly the same saying in the polish language and several other eastern european countries. The origin of the saying is apparently in Yiddish, and it makes sense as there were large Ashkenazi Jewish communities in central and eastern europe.

I think it comes from the stem that korea once was an RTS playerbase which has been specializing in controlling units like a commander. Given their perspective, using units such as undead on the chess board is how they perceive their combat in a way that they always play it strategically at most.

I think it mostly comes out was when the popular novel 'Solo Leveling' and other novels like it became more and more idolize that most koreans perceive that necromancy is quite an popular genre that they decided that writing such genre became cliche for them. Like Japanese with their Isekais and Chinese with Xianxia and whatnot, you can't really blame them for finding their own genre to look for.

Well for me the concept of necromancers on various novels and manga is that the mc is more on a lone wolf type of person, who doesn't rely on other living being to support himself or kind that doesn't fully trust does people around him. In short if the mc is a necromancer he or she can be a stand alone character if the author decided to eliminate some minor or supporting characters in the story it's okay for the readers as the focus is the mc himself and we all can say that being a necromancer has many excellent points to have.
