In my story I wrote a quick chapter about gender bending, well... not exactly, an evil character was transformed into a femboy and every time he tried to reveal his identity his body felt the urge to sleep with other men. Unfortunately some readers didn't like it but it gave me the idea of creating a separate story with this premise.

It's really a good topic

Almost the same, I started at Wn as a reader and most of it was garbage too. Some of it hurt my head to read and I had to make an effort to understand. That was one of the reasons I startedAlmost same, started

We are free to say what we want as well as free to listen to criticism. If you have something to say, you can say it, I don't see a problem.
Technically gender bender is about bending the rules of gender, girls acting or dressing like guys and vise versa. so your story fits, even if the stories i read were more gender swap i still enjoy a good traditional gender bender and well, femboys exist in my own story. So I'm never going to complain if we get a little more of that.

As for your villain becoming a femboy and having a change of desires is a fun topic to explore and even expand on. Does he dip his toes in or fight like his left arm is trying to kill him? Does he get addicted to it, gain a new perspective on himself or gender? Does he try to influence others with his new appearance or even experiment by turning others into femboys or women?

And that's ignoring what the supposed heroes are going to do or feel about it. You can play a lot with both male and female povs.

As for your readers not liking it, well you can't always get people to enjoy soda over tea. But you're already considering or making a new story so you'll find people to read it.

That's the "definition" of gender-bender being pushed by the LGBT community in the real world (look up Christopher Lonc's article, "Genderfuck and Its Delights," he wrote it in 1974). Gender bender as a fictional story genre has always meant a gender swapped character.

Then you'll find more of that with the transgender and trap tags. On one of my many unpublished stories that I can never seem to finish, my MC is also a femboy.

Let's see. I write because I have stories in my head. Mostly, they are the things I come up with when I can't sleep and to keep myself thinking about stressful things. I continue the story in my head and then eventually write it down on paper (or computer, whatever) so I can eventually move onto new stories.

I used to run RP rooms and storylines based on some of my stories so posting stuff online kind of stemmed from that. I miss the interactive nature of it all because it was nice to see people choosing how things play out. Which, on a side note, is why I dabble in interactive games now like VNs and Choice of Games stuff.

I'm not going by the LGBT meaning of it, I'm going by the anime/manga/hentai version of it. They always have traps, the cool guy who's actually a girl, the shy boy that gets the cocky girlfriend along with people swapping genders or gender roles. It's kinda why there's a gender swap or gender morph tags are on different sites. The way gender bender is treated, it's more of a all encompassing genre.

Yeah, I know, I've found a few in BL too. But you either catch up, find something that went unfinished or it just isn't the story you wanted or thought. I guess I'm greedy and want a full bag of chips and not just some chips. But that aside, I'm curious about your story you mentioned.

No, you're not. The anime/manga are the one's who use the gender bender genre as the "gender swap": Ranma 1/2, Yamada kun and the 7 Witches, Youjo Senki, She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man, etc.

They always have traps
Traps have a trap genre/tag.

the cool guy who's actually a girl
There's actually another name for this; I can't remember it now as I never watch those stories/shows.

the shy boy that gets the cocky girlfriend along with people swapping genders or gender roles.
gender role reversal genre/tag.

I ended up writing just one chapter about this, but he resists with all his might, but because of the nature of the change, every time he resists he has to have sex with other men and in the end he would accept his identity of serving other people.

He was an arrogant character who thought that women were there just to give him pleasure and fulfill his goals. I wanted to initially transform him into a woman directly, but I still wanted him to have something attached to him that would always remind him that he was a man. The ideal was a beauty with a big ass and flat chest, a perfect femboy.

And everything was done by MC, he liked the creation so much that he wanted to fuck it, but I know that the readers would not be ready to read this step.

I confess that unfortunately I was weak, I wrote but did not publish. I will do a separate work focused only on this

That's not a bad idea, a sort of rubber band effect. Super easy to start with small little things like eyeing feminine clothes or girlish themed items and it just snowballs from there. Could even write about his confusion and growing interest with self hate, maybe discomfort with their changed body.

It's kinda ironic the hero did it to the villain. Plus it's a funny way to defeat a villain like some sort of karma/horror story. And it yeah, if they did turn out like the ideal spoon shaped femboy. i can imagine quite a few people trying to get at the villain and the hero having to fight them off to keep the villian. They might accidentally draw people in if they have a very cute or attractive face too.

It's fine if you felt that way, a lot of authors worry about readers might not enjoying certain upcoming parts or characters. You can always turn it into its own separate or spinoff story. But don't forget you read your own work too, so you're ultimately writing for yourself. You sadly can't make you and everyone happy.

I wonder if they just meant "Bishounen" -- the Long-hair pretty boys you see in a lot of games or anime.

Often beautiful enough that men fall in love with them.

Ex. Emperor Hotohori in Fushigi Yuugi definitely fits the bill.

As you can read from my name, I'm an NTR addict and that's what motivated me.

I've always read all kinds of stories that have this theme, be it netori (stealing other people's wives), netorase (sharing one's own wife) and netorare (having one's own wife stolen) and these stories had something in common: They were always short and most authors abandoned them after 5, 10 or 15 chapters. This really irritated me because I wanted to know how the story continued but it was abandoned and that was it.

So I decided to write my own story to see what it's like on the other side. And I realized that it's very difficult. I must have started at the beginning of 2024 and since then I've written 120k words and 50 chapters. (I only recently started migrating my story from another platform to here).

So I realized that it's very difficult to write, the scenes are sometimes not clear, the ideas may not appear right away. Sometimes you think of something that is brilliant but then realize it is crap. Sometimes you create plot holes and when you try to solve them you create even more holes. It is very difficult, but I still keep posting new chapters.

Today my motivation is to create a story that someone can read and think "This is it. Finally something that hasn't been abandoned and has some quality".

And you, what motivates you and why did you start?
Me sees fanfic and crossover, me happy

fanfics bad, me angy

me motivated to make fanfic but gud

me make fanfic but average

me introspect me

me improve fanfic

me make new fanfic

me improve fanfic

me make new fanfic

me improve fanfic

me procrastinate

the end

Why did I write my story?

Well, let's just say I've been daydreaming this little story for most of my life. It became sort of my 'happy place' so to speak, where my thoughts go when I'm tired of dealing with the real world, and it just grew from there. I kept daydreaming through the years, and with time I molded it and turned it into something with a modicum of sense. I put my heart and soul into it until one day I snapped and said: 'I'm going to write it down!"

What motivates me to keep writing?

I don't know. Honestly, I don't know, but it makes me happy. I just want this story out of my head so badly and that pushes me to do my utter best. I want people to read it, or at least to be aware of it. Even if they think it's trash and don't give it a damn. It's my life's work. It's something that only existed in my head and now is real. I created it, and as long as it exists, it makes me feel that all the pain I went through was worth it.

At least that's what I figure.

Oh, I don't think I really answered why I continue writing: These stories just want to come out. I half think they would go to someone else on their own if I didn't write them (and, sometimes, a new one pops up and crowds out the rest).

I'm confused I thought we all wrote because of the voices in our heads.... wait! Am I the only one!?

But seriously, though I've written this in my bio, I think writing is relaxing. It's easy to get absorbed in your world, and I like to put it down and show it to whoever wants to read they might not like it but hey at least I'm in a community where there are others like me it feels nice and brings some clarity. Also, I attracted people with similar thoughts and tastes and it helped expand my library of books. Getting a comment from an author whose work you've enjoyed in your story brings a warm sense of community.

Plus it's just fun.

It’s just that I feel the need for people to see my own stories, my own world. After countless D&D sessions with my friends, I realized that playing with them wasn’t enough I wanted to share my ideas with a wider audience. So, I tried writing stories on Wattpad, but I wasn’t lucky enough there.

Fortunately, while scrolling for novel websites to read, I stumbled upon Scribble Hub, and I thought, "This is it" That’s when I decided to finally create the stories I’ve always wanted to express. I’m already happy enough to have 22 readers following my story, even though, unfortunately and sorry, my updates are kind of slow since I also need to work and don’t always have time to write. Before that, though, I’d like to share the story I want to show all of you!

Now, let me ask are you guys familiar with GATE: Thus the JSDF Fought There? If yes, then yeah, that’s the vibe I’m going for. But instead of humans, what if it was a mech? And not just any mech an AI-controlled war machine, An AI tries to understand what it means to be a human to grasp the meaning of emotion and feeling.... Honestly, it’s just my imagination exploring how, in the future, AI might attempt to learn emotions on their own. And I also want to know how I can keep creating stories without my mind shutting down from the stress of figuring out what the next scenario will be, other than that, just saying it's mostly a hobby :P
And dang, I love writing so much that my mind just automatically creates stories when I’m bored, until I didnt fully realize I’ve already written a 1000words chapter without even noticing. It’s like something I’m just used to, and it feels pretty extraordinary by it, even tho idk why it happen

I write because it's fun to explore the ideas that whirl in my mind, and also it's like diving into a different world which makes me forget all of my troubles. I also write to give the same experience to my readers, to help them escape from their troubles, be it only for a little while. But even that little while of enjoyment can perhaps relieve their stress a bit and help them have a better day.

I often want to create a world better than the one I live in. I don't know that's what I actually end up doing, because stories need conflict, and by the time I create a world and add zombies, there's something to be said for 21st century life. :) But better in some way, even if worse in others.

Reading motivates me, and often I read stories that are hot but problematical, and wonder how I could tell a story that was just as hot but didn't have the same issues. Or I read a story and start imagining the ending, and it goes some other direction. Once I sit down to write, it's rarely just that one experience, as multiple ideas merge. Reading is relaxing but makes me frustrated with the lack of control; writing gives me the control back.

I started as just a hobby to fill my free time. I don't do much TV or videogames. My free time was spent studying Japanese since I moved there. But still had too much free time. I write every day. As for what has kept me going. The followers. My regulars, commenting on here, Royal Road, and webnovel. My two Patrons are my greatest support. Even if I get a bad impression, the good ones really drive the passion.

Anime inspired me to write. Also writing is a good outlet since I had a hard time dealing with coming home alive after the war in Afghanistan. For a few years I was an aggressive, angry and bitter man. I lashed out at everyone around me. Until I decided to write what I felt on my laptop. From there I started to like it. My rage is gone and I'm happy. I'm also good at writing. Top 17 right now. Yay!

I continue to write cause I have no life outside of this house.
