It’s a running gag. Newbie tradition that can’t be broken since the founding.
Fr. I've lost count how many times I see a new thread titled the same. SHF might as well make a big flashing banner on the home page about this one rule. TBH I want this because I'm too curious to see how many still ignore it afterwards.

I am I just want more people to discover it so they upload chapters faster it's really good
soooooooooooooo...
your tryna to pull a aggregator site action? where they just rip a manga/translation/novel and put it on their site, with a billion ads, and a really obscure credits section?
I'm only posting like first 50 chaps then telling people to go read it at his at the end I want more chap to my favourite novel
So your also making it less likely they go post chapters/translations by RIPPING AWAY READERS from their appropriate sites. Assuming you get 6$ from 1000 views from a pop up advertisement, and theirs 6 pop up ads per chapter, and there's 200 people who read the 50 chapters you want to post here of theirs, you are actively stealing 360$ from them, which they need to justify spending hours and hours of writing or translating

in otherwords, any and all attempts to "spread their name" via other sites is you actively making it harder for them to continue posting since they cant afford to do so with traffic being ripped away from them.

its why translation sites actively make sure to sabotage their chapters with tons of their names in order to try and get them to head over to their sites, which aren't blemished

and in the case of novels, you are removing the possibility of a reader supporting them via a patron

TLDR: You are breaking a TOS, possibly getting the writer sue'd for break of contract, stealing their funding, decreasing their motivation to continue writing, and also plagiarizing as you don't have explicit permission.

Most people here also write for fun and free and their works are also stolen by aggregator sites.

See if they would react with happiness (or motivation) when they found their works outside this site without having given any permissions or whatsoever.

Let me warn you, @Sleepingice

Just do not be a retard, listen to the people and the rules. Let the Author of the book choose to share, or you will get yourself some trouble (Like Johnny Somali). It does not matter if its free or not.

Sound simple as that, we do not need to discuss this further.
