Therefore, poison in a backpack counts, because they are weapons on their own too.:blob_hmm_two: So the backpack is fine.

If you need another, different example, it's like extra ammo. Extra ammo requires a magazine to hold it. Personally, I would have preferred a drone that could carry the poison to various bodies of water... but in this case, I am 'skipping the gun,' so to speak.

What? I'm sorry. Your grammar is making your statements really hard to understand.:blob_upset: But what I am getting from what you just said that armor is not allowed, right? Well, I just said that I am NOT taking armor. A backpack is NOT armor.

Also, I plan to use my backpack as a shield (and shields are permitted), as a strangling device, and as a bludgeon.
its sorta has to be a obvious weapon. Straight forward. So poison and such just don't count. I am saying this because I made the rules. but flamethrowers count

Huh? You are changing the rules. That's unfair.:blob_popcorn_two: My choice of poison is a valid tactic. As would be my other plan of finding the highest point, and unleashing a cloud of anthrax with a leafblower. And so would my other-other plan of making an obvious encampment and dumping out a plastic sac of silicate glass all around it.:blob_upset:

But I will play along and win your unfairly changed rules too!:blob_paint: Even if I was a little dubious as to whether I would win with my tactics anyway:sweating_profusely::blob_pout:.

I may switch it out with a mace, gather as much food as I can, gather water in a spot not exposed to the air, and hide away until you all died of starvation and dehydration (because the ash would pollute some waters as well). Then I would come out and start bashing heads in assuming I didn't die before I finished my gathering phase.

Now, I will be honest. I have no skill with blades. And, again, assuming a military machine gun is not permitted. And a mace is not my first go-too, especially when it is so heavy and there are people with shields and greater reach.
I would choose metal caltrops, but unfortunately, I doubt that is 'straight forward' enough for you even though those are 'obvious weapons':blob_awkward: (freakin' rule changer *grumble, grumble*). A more glaring flaw is that one could slowly pick at the weapons to clear a path or brush them aside with a big branch. And given the heavy weight of the flame thrower (70 pounds), I would likely not be able to carry enough caltrops in one hand either.

The best replacement for my poison would be to have an absurd amount of piano wire (yes, this is valid and straight forward as it is the kind of wire commonly used in garottes. It is just used in pianos too, which is why it is called piano wire), which I can set up snares, for clotheslining people, to aid in building encampments, and as its primary purpose, a garrote.
But I doubt that I have the expertise to build traps effectively.

I would go with a handheld grenade launcher (they have a limit of being loaded with four grenades, so that is what I would have).

I'll take a VX gas canister and I'll wear MOPP level 4 protective gear for this one.
Unfortunately, Notadate changed the rules on us. According to the original rules, I think you have a solid shot at least!

He made it so poison isn't allowed because he made the rules, so he can say that poison is not allowed. Poison isn't straight forward enough or something like that...

Regardless, I had to switch out my backpack full of botulinum toxin pills.

I just made the assumption that we didn't get the machine guns with absurd amounts of ammo. Because if we did, the battle royale would be short and sweet, and completely rend anything else pointless.

VX is a chemical weapon I mean governments have stockpiles of the stuff to use on the battlefield so I don't see why it wouldn't count.

You're super right!
I decided that, rather than argue with him, I would just go along with it since he has difficulties getting his intentions across. His grammar and his word choices are not good for such variable prompts like this.

The new rules to keep in mind are:

1. the weapon needs to be straight forward. This is not the best word choice. I can guess what he means when he goes on to clarify that this means no poison and the like.
That "and the like" is probably doing an absurd amount of work, but I will generously interpret his intentions, even though it would have been better to clarify the other options.
I must (with much aggravation) presume he means no toxins of any form that do not naturally come as a side effect of your weapon, no biological warfare (like anthrax or disease), no radioactive material, and nothing like silicon dust or other such lacerative, inhalable materials.

2. It needs to be an obvious weapon (classically designated as a weapon).

3. And no armor. I presume a mask falls under this new condition too?

I feel like if you put everyone in a tier list depending on who has the best chance to win, I'd probably be at the top.
