This is for a very weird vampire story that takes place in Chicago. It has a trans main character which is why the one on the right has a trans-flag background. The right image was the original but the left is a more recent iteration I think I like better but who's to say.

They're both good, but if you're trying to decide on which to keep, I would suggest the skyline photo. If I'm not mistaken, and let's face it, I probably am, that would be Willis Tower in the skyline? If so, that's a solid cue, especially to Chicago natives, that the story takes place there. If you're still in doubt, flip a coin, then decide on what side you wanted it to be on.

Both are fine. But have you tried to superpose the flag (a little bit faded-away) with the city skyline ? To replace the sky. Maybe that would require a little bit of MS Paint but the results might be very fine.

I believe that it would also make the title stand out more than with the pure skyline.

Hmmm. What if you did the opposite ? Replace the sky instead of the city ?

Pretty sure that's the Sears tower. And I'm not from Chiraq.

technically it's the hancock tower. you can differentiate it from the willis/sears tower from the slant of the exterior. the hancock tower has a taper as it gets higher which the willis/sears tower is made up of multiple rectangular "tubes" stitched together.

I thought the Hancock Tower (both of them) was in Boston?

My parents are from there, so I'm a little more familiar with that city's skyline.

You're right, I'm a fake Architecture nerd :( The one in Chicago is the John Hancock Center(Very crucial difference). It's a few years older than the one in Boston. The reason it gets confused with the Sears/Willis tower is because they both share the same aesthetic(black steel bracing and the 2 radio spires). And probably more crucially, they also share the same architects
