Ubel Blatt went a bit downhill after the main villain "went back". Still, a good read.
True, I don't like much the end of it except the last few pages, but the whole thing was a good read. It was one of the first manga I read and the sword fight was really well made in my opinion, some page have good art too.

"living under a rock" it happen like 15years ago or most. To resume it, since apparently there some similarity between the two story, like some chara design or the fact both story have demons inside human bodies, the fan of naruto said that Seishi have plagia his brother Masashi. Even when they saw a black flame who burn everything in 666 satan, they get mad and said he even plagia the amaterasu from itachi but they forgot to look at the date of release where you can see that the "amaterasu" appeared first in 666 satan.

The manga was good and could be a huge thing in that time if these peoples didn't show up and just shut up, could have gotten another long anime like bleach, naruto, one piece, hunter x hunter, reborn, d gray man, etc... from that time.

Yeah, especially 15 years ago, I kept myself out of forums that would expose me to things like that. So I never really noticed any of that. But it's quite sad, hearing it now.
But on the bright side: if they do come up with an anime these days, it will be miles better than the filler riddled Naruto.

So, the constraining points are that 1. It has to be old, and 2. It has to not already be adapted to anime...

Well, within those criteria, I'd say the one good candidate I can come up with is Futaba-kun Change.

It's like Ranma 1/2 with back-and-forth gender transformations, except it dives MUCH deeper into the whole gender roles thing since it's an entire lineage that has gender transformations instead of just 1 person. The protagonist's entire family has these gender changes, and it is eventually revealed they come from an Island nation where everyone on the Island has this going on, and their society is built around this gender-changing deal being a thing. Also, the gender changing deal only starts happening a few years after they hit puberty.

The real interesting part is that their society regards the ones who are born as boys as the women, and the ones that are born as girls as the men. This throws off our protagonist who was born and raised in Japan instead of their ancestral home island, since they grew up a boy without being exposed to that part of the culture.

(There are some good reasons why it probably wasn't adapted though. It goes into some more adult themes than Ranma 1/2 did, and deals with some of the more uncomfortable stuff. Not sure that would be very TV friendly. Especially the part where the protagonist winds up getting sexually assaulted by his/her older sister/brother. That one's made even worse by the fact it's played as a joke. It's supposed to be going off the whole sexually aggressive older woman trope in harem anime, but it seriously lands different with the gender transformation thing... and I sorta think that was the point. Basically, saying "yeah, that's essentially what those older women in those harem anime are doing. It's not comfortable when a male does it to a female protagonist, so you shouldn't be laughing at it when the genders are reversed.")

I don't think that would happen and with the luck of the manga, it would be a shitty studio full of cgi who adapt it and ruin it even more.

I'll second Legend of the Sun Knight.

Black Haze would be another good one. And if it got an anime adaptation, maybe the author would actually finish it.... :blob_teary:
