Townbuilding arcs. Nothing stops an adventure cold like a bunch of refugees deciding the MC should be mayor of their soon to be village. I seem to be in the minority here, because I actually like academy arcs.

Miscommunication arcs.

Like... if the problem could be solved by saying something super simple and rather obvious. Or just asking the other person to clarify what they mean instead of immediately acting like a toddler with the IQ of a peanut.

I dislike long dungeon arcs. Usually a chapter for a dungeon is enough, most of them feel like filler to me.

I don't like arcs that drag for too long. I don't care what the theme for the arc is, but I hate when things drag.
