I second yours. MC is like one of the most powerfull, allknowing Mage and still goes to school... Like, why?

I remember some reincarnation fantasy i read on royal road where mc had the power of knowing everything when he touches something,by chapter 10 he already had more knowledge than gods in his world but he went to the mage academy where he never learned anything just to roiter there for almost 100 Chapters???.

Action arcs in a comedy. Drama arcs in a comedy. It's fine if these arcs are funny, but they often aren't.

Love triangle arcs in a romance.

Im-going-to-show-off-in-front-of-all-the-young-masters-and-heroines arcs in a cultivation story- or in any story.

I'm not sure if any of these count as arcs, but I feel like they're definitely things that are more prevalent in some parts of stories than others.

Those are basically cliche but yeah i get you,i hate love triangles.....just pure headache inducing pain and then include comedy yeah bad for my eyes.

I personally hate schools/academy arcs especially when the main character doesn't need them, like having a character who knows like everything then she/he must attend some school is just fillers.
Yep. They are always done poorly. In fact, they rarely if ever actually stay in the academy and how often do you see them actually attend a class? I can hear someone say, "but that would be boring to write about", and .....okay? Then why use it as a arc setting at all then?

  • OP MC learns empathy arc(possibly forgetting they ever changed after)
  • Tournament arcs(especially if they forget or abandon the tournament rules after a certain point)
  • School filler arcs(for non-slice of life. With the exception of Soul Eaters exam episode because it is the most relatable)
  • Toxic trauma bonding arcs

Forgive me, but when an arc can't be used to form a central angle, you know it's a bad arc. 180 degrees is not an angle, sorry. I won't be convinced otherwise.

I forgot about the tournament arc, school arcs are basically fillers and that is something i stick with... most of them are practically done really bad and poorly.

:sweating_profusely:Way to put it more logically.
While its not any particular arc, the thing i hate most in storys is the generic petty mob villains that never learn their lesson.
I especially hate this when they are the mob repetitive appearing villains who miraculously escape each time.

?It even rare for them to attend the class.

Please explain. All I can think of is that Pokemon fanfic where two grimers fall in love.

I'd do that just to flex. Maybe not for a hundred chapters though, unless there was a plan for it.

Two characters (most likely enemies or part of a hate-ship) that trauma bond but instead of helping each other overcome their trauma, they enable their bad tendencies. This Usually ends with one of the characters hating the other and possibly trying to kill them over it.

I refuse this consensus. A straight line can not also be an angle! It has to be one or the other. And it's obviously a straight line! It's just common sense! GAH! It's like making letter numbers!? Letter numbers? Really!? Letters can't be numbers! What's wrong with you people!? Think about the children! Think about the confused children!

I read one where the only reason he went to school, even though he was op, was to learn how to interact with people.
