Never read it but yes

He's a Bleach character. That is his power's name.

Some fans even called him little Aizen.

I'm trying to think up more Mental Magic related spells for my MC. The first two that came into my head was a total shutdown of the opponent's nervous system, thus leaving them a lifeless husk.

The second was that the MC would pull his opponent into a, sort of dream world, where he controls everything. The dream world is modeled after the opponent's fears. The downside to this is that the opponent has to be restrained, since they struggle endlessly while the spell is being activated. Kinda like Dorothy Unsworth's Glamour World.
Total shutdown of the nervous system is lethal, though. Even a corpse would still have some synaptic impulses. If it disappears completely, not only the organs shut down, even the cells would start to die. The lack of synaptic signals indicate to the cells to start shutting down and start necrosis.

Ai-chan suggests to model it after stun guns. Stun guns use electricity to wreak havoc on the person's nervous system by overwhelming it causing the muscles to lock up. There is no defense against this unless the opponent runs solely on magic. While it won't turn the opponent into a lifeless husk, it will make them completely immobile for several minutes and the effects could be felt even several hours later. Being strong does not make one more resistant. The bigger your muscles are, the worse you got hit.

Don't need to incorporate it into a gun, just make the effect similar to a stun gun. The way a stun gun works is that you have a positive electrode attached to one part of the body and the negative electrode on another part of the body. This then completes the circuit.

If you have a lightning magic or something like that, just use a low amperage but high voltage electricity, with the ground completing the circuit. High amperage will kill a person, but high voltage normally would make a person faint, unless it also has high amperage which makes it lethal. In simple terms, the flow of electricity has a lot of pressure going through in one go, but not as much intensity behind it. Think of it as a single tall wave instead of a flood.
