best? Debatable to whoever that is.

For example, I refused to do Isekai because I don't like writing it. Reading it, sure. LitRPG? Gotta have a second thought. Kingdom building? I love it a lot, especially if in later arcs, politics comes to play.

Does anyone like kingdom building, wars, politics etc. In fantasy world??
I personally love kingdom building!!! It’s my second favorite just under true adventure… you know where the MC just adventures throughout the story through unknown lands and environments… I love the epic but sometimes calm exploration… one chapter they might be cooking a fish at camp and another they may be encountering a world turtle-nyah!

I prefer adventure or slice of life fantasy. Kingdom building is kind of boring to me. If I wanted backroom deals and political assassinations with a side of infrastructure development, I could just read the news about the mayor's re-election campaign.

Cyberpunk/ space conflict like 40K or Starcraft with eldritch horror not just from hell/ nether realm, but also other planets or even parallel Earfs.

Magictech exist with steampunk and magic mecha etc.

Might as well go fullblown manmade horrors by merging incomprehensible magic with dystopian tech.

When tech is too advanced, it is indistinguishable to magic. When magic is sufficiently catalogued, it is indistinguishable from tech.
