Which generation had the best Pokemon?

Funny story. I once contemplated getting into making gaming Youtube videos. I was not cut out for editing, so it never went anywhere, but I was going to call myself "Gassy Charmander" because I thought it was hilarious.

First.

I never like(d) the popularity for the fire one. Especially the "meta" super evo of him.

Blastoise (GUNS/CANNONS+water) > Bulbasaur (it sounds and looks badass when imagining a SKILL THAT VAMP THE ENEMY /s also the bud is cute) > Charmander is cute but not evolutions

In fact, it took me 30s+ to remember the name.
And truth is, i tried to remember the last evo name but couldnt and then switched to first stage, and "bulb" on its back helped me remember. Especially as its biggest charm point.

Now i think about it. I guess Danny and me have this similarity to like plants xD

Though i wonder if why people dislike is bc they consider the "plant" as a parasite (pokedex entry/parasyte but also symbiosis), when for me i consider it as a whole picture and its cute and is a cute budding seed.
And my gamer soul love the "vamp" seed debuff (which btw is gotten early) that vamp life every turn. And its kind of idea is TOO RARE in games, and FREAKING OP. In xianxia, its like an invincible curse, same in isekais. Enemy slowly die to death, while opponent keep regenerating. Like a vampire from blood from wounds.

Personally, I also prefer the first gen.
My three topics would be Eevee, Evie, Mewtwo, and rapidash.
I always like Eevee for its vast evolutionary potential in the different forms it could take. With my favorite being Umbreon. That version was the most useful for catching legendary pokémon who like to run away.
The second Mewtwo doesn't need to be explained.
As for Rapidash, I always saw it as the most practical pokémon to have in a world where you have to cross the entire continent like 18 times.
