Cats and dog?
I will say cats.
Not because they are cuter, but while I got scratched by many cats , ingrat as they are, it never come close to my experience with dogs.

Being growled at was fine, but having a big dog called Nido running after you every time you met when you were child is not a good memories.

Nido was the dog of my grands aunt, it chased me out of the house too often when we were alone. 'a devil beast I must say but a good training partner's.

The fact that, My uncle was reading big dog for his security company did not help.

Also most of the dog that I met during my youth in that neighborhood were drugged by their owner to make them more ferocious.

So cat definitively, it can not kill me.
