If @Corty 's is bad, mine is worst. Long-ass chapters, walls of text, doormat MC, and no sex even after I completed the entire 20-book thing. And I uploaded the 2nd and 3rd arcs first before 1st arc.

The "worst" novel I read is LOTM. It has amazing plot and unexpected plot twist and I fucking hate how much I love it.

The "best" novel I read is Tales of Demons and Gods because Mad Snail fucking dropped the novel because he can't accept criticism! Fuck Mad Snail.

While I liked the story well enough, it's obviously the art that catapulted it into stardom. I refuse to believe the story "broke new ground" as I've heard it said.

Lol, I recently discovered my godfather purchased all the books of Solo Leveling and is now a major fan. He's an older 90's fan. His peak for enjoyment was YuYu Hakusho, Inuyasha, and Dragonball.

He didn't like Dragonball Z because it made some of his favorite characters unimportant. He was a big Tien fan for example. He was also disappointed in how little lore there was for King Cold. He was a big fan of him to for some reason. He quit DBZ right around the time Vegeta kills Zarbon and the Ginyu Squad. He was a fan of Burter and Jeice.

I've also noticed people "new to the culture", so to speak, claiming Solo Leveling is "new and innovative."

Nah, you're just new to Korean works is all. Most folks really only know Japanese media.

Happens with Manga all the time. Each time a new shonen comes out and becomes at least slightly popular it is praised as the groundbreaking and innovative.
