LIKE, I've been looking in places but I just can't find a place to look into a throng of peeps and have my pick :(

What can I do about this?

DID you put yourself into a list of people looking for partners somewhere?

Nobody can have a pick if nobody wants to be picked after all.

WHAT sort of content are you looking to write?

No one site encompasses everything.

But if you're lucky people might suggest themselves here

Define what a writing partner is?
A writing partner is someone who you can brainstorm, outline, write, edit, and re-write stuff with. They're someone you can talk to about your story(s) and collaborate with.

I'm looking to write tons of smutty content and maybe take on a long form writing project that is NSFW, rival the top positions on this site
They should make a Tinder clone for writers

Well, who is going to actually, you know, write, and how will you split the profits?
Oh i mean

It's on individual projects. to each their own, sort of thing.

Besides that, people decide for themselves their own boundaries/conditions for writing partners. As for splitting profits lol, that also depends on the writing partnership.

Personally, I am not looking to turn a profit in the first place, just to write. Might help to find someone the same but yeah, it is also possible to work with someone who is profit-primary-motivated if the chemistry is a match!

If you're looking to write smutty content, you could look up an ERP forum, and advertise the idea. A number of writers would be totally interested in plotting out and writing a long-form smut project.

Depending on how one decides to go about it, they could take turns writing chapters, scenes, etc—and just editing & critiquing each others works along the way. As for profits… 50/50 would be ideal, assuming a relatively equal amount of investment, but if one person is doing pretty much all the writing while the other is acting more as an editor, then that would definitely change.

If you're looking for people here, that's still pretty broad.
Short example pitches might help others to get a feel for you. (Maybe edit them into the original post)

ERP does sound like a decent place to go to, though, as mentioned

You ask: "where to find a writing partner?" Well, the answer is obvious. On the forums; Royal Road forum, Scribble Hub forum, Web Novel forum, etc. And I still don't know what you mean. It's YOU who asks for a writing partner. Might as well define how YOU see the cooperation. What YOU will provide and what YOU are looking for. And after doing that, you might understand where to find a writing partner. No offense meant.

I think they took it as a question about the "tinder for authors" thing

None taken! You're right, its the forums, I'm still sorta new to understanding forum structures and whatnot but I was hoping to get some more info like specific forum topics or something before I delved into what it is that I was exactly looking for

Whats your genre? What kind of stories are you looking to tell? What do you hate?

Have you had a writing partner before?
Ooh, I do sci-fi, horror, fantasy and a bit of urban. I'm mostly looking at displaying characters since that is something I need to work on for other projects.

I hate.... nothing in particular. I am what most of the ERP community calls "Limitless". In fact, so much so that I've found the weird distaste of NTR on Scribblehub to be.... weird. lol

and yeah, I have not had a writing partner before.

You kind of have to start this thing yourself and then manage it. There have been attempts in RR to make like feedback groups, but it usually just fizzles out because people can't commit.

Tho... 'Writing partners' are different from feedback groups. Could be up to a group but ideally not. IMO. Both needs to have be writers or people pursuing the writers craft.

Feedback is not the whole of the relationship. The aim is rather than make one or the other's story better. It is to make each other better writers. They share thoughts beliefs and theoritical ideas of writer's craft. And both are equally invested in the relationship

As well as trouble shoot draft ideas, to fleshout but not yet ready to share with the world.

Potentially, writing partners can last years and they knows your stories and future projects as well as you do.

Hmm...iirc when i still wrote... one partner i worked with... that lasted... 6 years?
