As the title suggests: when did you start writing? (I'm not asking about when you started posting your novel tho)
For me, I started writing my very first novel when I was 11, lol. But I never got to finish it.

Well...this one guy got popular writing stuff about some rando king called Gilagamesh in my hometown of Uruk so I gave it a try on my own clay tablet. Lost track of how much time passed since then...

Do you perchance remember which grade you were in? I remember mine because I started writing my first novel with my best friend in 5th grade who left that year lol.

I don’t remember exactly. It was in junior high, so I was around 12 or 13? That was over 30 years ago, so I can’t remember ? But I found a book of poetry I wrote back in 1998.

Looks like… 2022, at the age of 28, almost entirely on a whim. I then proceeded to vomit out a 330 chapter stream of consciousness monster of a fanfic featuring lots and lots of smut, mind control, kingdom building, and way too much book keeping. I have no idea what the fuck I was thinking. I have not gone a full month without posting at least 1-2 chapters of SOMETHING since and am currently working on an actual original book in between updates.

I've been an avid reader pretty much since day one, I got the bug of wanting to tell my own stories at around 7-8 years old. I didn't start working on stuff until I was 13, second year of junior high. And Im still working with the same OCs, although they've gone through several changes and barely resemble their original counterparts

For me, I started writing my very first novel when I was 11, lol. But I never got to finish it.

A few lifetimes ago. (Not literally; that'd be closer to 1996 in the summer.).
I started writing creatively back in middle-school, role-playing in online chat-rooms around 7th grade.
Not long after, I learned that my late-father was also a writer (beyond just being in a band, and writing the music for said band he also wrote poetry) and that inspired me to pursue the craft more seriously.
It's been quite the journey since then, and could even (possibly) fill a novel or two of its own.
