They see my private health insurance card, and nothing else. Today I went for an insulin test, got a lecture on what to eat and what not to eat instead.

...

I did not even eat the stuff I was not supposed to.

I don't care how, but from now on, I will only go to my personal doctor. He is nice and actually wants for me to live a long life. (We need more people like him, right?)

Did something similar happen to you?

Well yeah? Doctors are pretty much all employed by the insurance companies so of course they don't really care about you.

My friend was diagnosed with diabetes. How did the doctor tell them? Well, the doctor sorta didn't. The pharmacy called to tell them that the metformin prescription their doctor called in was ready for him. They found out after they asked what that was for.

I've had a shitty doctor before, but I've been mostly pleased with Kaiser doctors . . . except for the Pitocin debacle, but from watching "The Business of Being Born," my husband and I went in prepared for that.

My dad lost 100 lbs in less than a year because of cdiff. We met with one of the nurses and they explained that he is overweight and that is a risk. Kinda like a broken record. Someone just almost died because they lost weight too fast due to an infection >:(

:blob_blank: The things I've seen are too much to tell. Half of the things I've heard from medical doctors, you won't believe or find deplorable. Most healthcare professionals are heartless harpies who want nothing more than the mula at the end of the night. Sadly, many lose their hearts due to loans and critical work conditions.
