I once sat in the car of one of those mega rich foreign exchange student- nice ride cool.

Anyways we were going to an event/meet up and he parked up close obviously in a no parking zone. I asked bc maybe he just didn't know.
Nah he knew, the $400 something parking ticket was just the 'fee' to park there for him.

My cousin is 2nd generation rich and doesn't know how to use her money for anything. She went to college, got an apartment on her parents' card and let her new boyfriend and friends all live there rent free. She paid for so much of their shit, all their food, and loaned out so much money that she had to borrow $$ from her parents to them her freinds 'borrow' bc she maxed out all her cards.

After college, (that she paid for a diploma) she couldn't understand why no one would pay her back or why and her ex-bf wouldn't marry her.(he actually broke up with her properly but she wouldn't let it go, guy moved halfway across the country and she tried following him). Before you feel bad for her, just know she's terrible and can only ever talk about herself. Also rn she's on a trip to Singapore for 'charity'.

Let me call rich dude as Mr. Bucks.

- Mr. Bucks' grandson finds the rims of a car so pretty and shiny with its chrome finish. Mr. Bucks asks his people to stop said car and he buys the said car from the owner with 3x its original price. He gives it to the grandson coz he liked it. Grandson is 5 years old.

- Mr. Bucks owns multiple office buildings (high rises) in a city considered as our main business district. He uses a lot of those buildings' parking spaces as his own personal garage for the cars he has but doesn't use. Mostly BMWs.

- Mr. Bucks lives an affluent neighborhood where he buys his neighbor's house to use it as his personal garage. Yes, he has that many cars it's ridiculous.

- Mr. Bucks buys pens worth $5 million and gifts it to his friends. They consider that cheap change.

- Mr. Bucks once offered my friend a brand new car of his choosing from a certain car brand but my friend declined because, being a responsible adult, realistically, he won't be able to afford the upkeep of said car.

- Was invited to Mr. Bucks' birthday event where he had his new BMW on show while politicians and businessmen roamed about. This is where I found out some of my suspicions about our local actresses. Yes, the escort service is real.

- In case you're wondering where he's getting his money from, his family is from the mining business.

Those are the only ones I can think of at the moment but he's done more crazy stuff and it boggles my mind how rich people live their lives.

There was this person with the ultimate proffesional camera (can't remember the brand but I remember all of us were amazed because it was literally the best camera at that time, and the most expensive) his parents bought for him for a field trip (a field trip while still in middle school, mind you). The idiot left it behind in one of the bathrooms and while we were halfway through he suddenly remembered "Oh, frat, I forgot my camera!" and all of us were like "Go! We'll explain the teacher, go back and bring you camera before someone steals it!" and he was all like "Nah, too much work, they probably stoled already. I'll just ask my parents for another one."
To this day I can remember the resentment and how I almost started thinking socialism would be so good for some people...

I once saw my friend drop his burrito on the ground by accident. Picked it up for him but he said, "nah its fine i'll just buy another one"
The burrito was perfectly wrapped up

I was like "woah-ho look at mr. Moneybags here. He can afford to buy multiple burritos."

Wish i had that kinda cash, shit. Well. I do now but back then? A pipe dream. Yeah highschool cafeterias are expensive

Called a war veteran a pedophile on twitter bc the war veteran didn't like his coffin submarine,
I can see what the rich guy did but I have more questions regarding the coffin submarine and how it affiliates towards pedophillia.

Woah take a few steps back buddy. Won't want to wish for the end of the world over a dropped bagel. Just dropkick the guy and his sick Sony camera, won't need to bring great America to its knees.

Global warming.
You motherfu-

Was the burrito eaten at the end? Was it?

What now? You buy perfectly wrapped burritos and started dropping them around like your peers?

it'd be weirder if this is actually real.
I wish it wasn't real but this is the internet and you guys don't have to believe it's true.

I do realize that the stuff I shared was not a good example of the rich doing dumb things. Just a show of entitlement. :blob_hide:

Rich people showing their entitlement is a good example of their stupidity.

Just read an article that said a white billionaire is offering 1 billion dollars for Serena Williams and Lebron James to breed, as he thinks their son would be the perfect athlete. I don't think much tops that

Someone brought an old flintlock gun to school because they wanted to show off part of their collection.

This was not in America. Still, bad move.

I read this news some time ago that someone bought a modern art for $120,000.

The art was a banana taped to a wall. Its not much money but anyone who spends that much for a banana taped to a wall is nuts. Cheap change for the wealthy I suppose.

Almost exactly 1 year ago the company I worked for was purchased and the new owners laid off 30 people, me included. To earn some money until I found something new, I posted an ad on Craigslist offering to help with moving etc. that night a woman contacted me and gave me directions to a condo in Century City (Los Angeles).

The condo was a 37th floor penthouse being remodeled for an ex-banker from Russia who scammed billions during the collapse of the Soviet Union. As for me, they hired me as a day laborer, mostly throwing away construction debris and helping the contractors move equipment and stuff like that, but eventually I morphed into an assistant to the foreman to help with documents and finishing lists.

One day the Russian Banker came in with his wife, (who was much younger and most likely some type of model) to tour the renovation. While he walked around, the interior designer had me walk with them and take notes on the changes he wanted made. There were 2 master bathrooms, and in his there was a type of pale white stone from India (can’t remember the name) that covered the walls. He decided it wasn’t white enough so he said to get rid of it and go with some type of Italian Marble.

He had the designer remove the already, newly installed, imported cabinets throughout the closets, hallways, kitchen, bedrooms, and maids room so he could have a crew flown from Italy to install them again for authenticity. He scrapped an onyx bar, only to replace it with another onyx bar where the grain was more to his liking, and decided to change a large closet off of his bathroom into a sauna, which required a completely new set of approvals and designs on an afternoon whim.

The designer said the original renovation was expected to cost 17 million, but they were already over 25 because of changes like that. The funniest thing about it all is that during the whole project, which was nearing the end of its second year, the owner rented a two bedroom condo ten floors below for $50k/month, which for the most part he never stayed in. About 45 minutes to the northwest in Santa Barbara he owned a mansion and a yacht where he stayed most of the time.

I was only there for three months, but it was crazy seeing $15k shower heads, 5 $10+k toilets, $500+k A/V setup, and a host of other things I’ll never be able to afford.
