Hey everyone! It's Lemon ? I’m still fairly new to Scribble Hub and I’m currently working on a weekly release schedule. I was curious, for those of you who’ve been here a bit longer:

- What time of day and even which day, do you think is best for posting new chapters?

- Do you aim for early mornings, afternoons, evenings? Weekdays vs weekends?

I’ve heard some people say morning drops help with visibility, while others swear by evenings for higher engagement. I’d love to hear what’s worked for you, or what time you prefer to read chapters as a reader!

No one knows. It is a mystery and has been since the site was created. Just be consistent about your chapter publishing and you'll probably get an audience.

Thank you for your words of wisdom! ? And I hope you don’t mind me asking, but I’ve noticed that little section under your posts that says “Please check out my stories! Maybe you'll like one” with the spoiler tag for your books.

I was wondering how you set that up? I’d love to do something similar to link my stories under my forum posts too. Thanks in advance if you’re willing to share your secrets! ?

You should post whenever you're comfortable releasing your work. Trying to catch a 'popular' time is counterproductive. Ai-chan can say the 'best time' is between 1-2pm but if people believe Ai-chan, everyone will post within this time. As a result, everyone's upload notification will only appear for like 1 minute, way too short for new readers to see. It's better to upload when nobody else is uploading, but that window is pretty much nonexistent.

Objectively, 12:30 to 2:50 PM or 4:50pm are the ideal times to post chapters for visibility, as teens have free time after 3 and adults typically after 5, so you want to pre-empt people getting out slightly early.

theoretically, Friday/saturday/sunday would be best for engagement, but its hard to tell.

Further, as pointed out above, if you're looking for "Newest Chapter Hits", trying to get to one of the optimal front page times is actually counterproductive, because it means you will just be pushed off in seconds as other people targeting those times also are posting then.

Personally, I don't actually believe trying to aim to consistently get on the front page is the best choice, you will probably get up there with your first posts, but most of my reading list I found through tag searches, same for the other people I've discussed scribblehub reading with. Its much more important to write an excellent synopsis to get people to open the first chapter, have a good first chapter or 2 depending on length, and have the right tags so people find it and get invested.

This is an international webstite with people from different timezones, so no hour is absolutely convenient for every single reader. The hour matters less than the frequency. You also have the option to check the upload times for the stories that rack in more views, and post a little before or a little after

That is which timezone? :) Americas is 40% my readers, Europe/Africa close behind 35% and the rest is scattered. Soooo... Morning America? Evening Europa? Night Australia?

It's pointless. As u said, release when u want. There is no superior time.
Pick a time when fewer authors are uploading so that your novel stays in the latest update list longer.
They do that for a reson. Less people see that. You can either go short stay with triple the amount of people or triple the amount of time for less people. Result's the same.

As @AmbreaTaddy said, you can go to the signature section in the forums and edit it once you have sent enough messages in threads to prove you aren't a bot.

I was presuming Anglosphere interest only, so actually a greater bias towards -9, -6, and +0 then you have. I also pointed out these are technically trap times because trying to target them actually lowers exposure due to competition, while I didn't point it out, conversely trying to target low posting frequency times is also pointless because no one is going to see it.

But I think my final paragraph is the more important point. Im generally not picking series up through the front page but the search function, optimizing discovery is simply more critical to developing a readerbase than trying to hit a high speed dartboard.

OTOH: Wednesday for posting day.

Don't worry about whether to post in the morning, at noon, or in the evening as people here are on different timezones so it's irrelevant.

Well I been publishing a chapter every time I get moved to the second page in "updates" for a week. (at least 7-10 chapters a day). Not much luck I am afraid, the tipe of story has a lot to do with the public interest... too bad I cant write, romance, smut and all that stuff.

This guy got it. And he likes smut... why? Why? Why something I cant write.

The best time to post chapters, is when you've already written the Next chapter.
-- This gives you plenty of time edit the chapter and catch all those misspellings and typos that like to sneak in when you're not looking.

Most of my readers are USA/ASIA based. I assume the same is true for others. So just adjust your posting for the average time Asians and Americans get off work. (EU will get what they can :ROFLMAO:)

After using GPT do the number crunching to cover China and New Yorkers and everyone in between, "8 PM to 10 PM EST " is what it gave.

But at the end of the day, let's be honest, people will flock to your work if it is good, and you are doing a decent effort to publish often and spread word of it. I hope you aren't hoping for an instant career- art can take years or decades to make a reliable income.

Basically, don't weigh too much on when you post. Good luck on your writings!

My guess is it's also really important to post around the same time every time. I've seen people recommend that you post at a bunch of different times to "capture" different readers, but in my limited experience, consistency is more important than what exact time you post.
