I can change your opinion just give me five months to make a Harem story you like
Sure, but I have especially high requirements for harem stories.
I didn't give reasoning for disliking harem, but I find them generally bad for the development of characters especially when the harem is the story rather than just being treated as a standard romantic subplot. Along with that, even in cases where the harem is a pure romance story and doesn't focus on the main character only existing to find more partners. I still don't enjoy reading them as it isn't something I can relate to. For a lot of harem novels characters generally seem less dynamic and are more stereotypes than characters.

A lot of the time poly relationships are better given the characters all interact and can develop each other, rather than it needing to focus so much on a single character being loved, yet even with that I again don't enjoy reading poly as much as single pairings for the main romance.
Also on a side note... I mostly only reading female protagonist stories, but if you do make a harem with a male lead I'll check it out to see if you manage to convince me into enjoying such. I could write more about harem and poly relationships, but I'm on my phone and don't want to make a well written essay on the topic.

Generic protagonists that were clearly created as a self-insert, justifying the story’s power fantasy and haram
