What makes you motivated in writing novels?
Me? Nothing...
I am dead inside...
But if i have to say something, it'll be when i daydream.

Nothing but random chance is what I can count on to feel motivated to do anything.

I am my own motivator for writing. Sure, I would like my stories to be out there which is why I write, but I am my own motivation. I make my own goals and work hard on them. Success to me is knowing that I completed my goals above all the other things I care for.

My goal is to complete my Novel, no matter what happens. If I can do that, then that is when I can celebrate a completed Novel.

All the insanity that could happen, whenever a writer just wants to write in the next word. A conflict just slams down on him.

He tries to hide to write, but the antagonist accidentally warps him to their location.

It may sound stupid, but when I listen to music I get really motivated, for example, just the right exciting battle track and I get the desire to write some fighting scene.
That's why, for me, choosing the music that I use as background for writing is the most important thing. And also why I seldom write in busy places like bus stations or cafes.

I second this, I usually write my best with some music in the background mostly rainy cafe or mixes labeled one against a million. That kind of stuff.

It's likely a middle schooler based of their previous replies. If not, they have a middle schooler's brain.

If you're talking about in general, i'm not motivated. The most motivation is probably fear of confrontation for delaying something but at that point its already too late.

I made a deal with myself when I started writing. I’d keep going until it wasn’t fun anymore. I’m up to around 450 chapters across 3 stories over the course of 3 years. I’ve slowed down quite a bit, with the tradeoff of somewhat higher quality.

In terms of external motivation? I know at least 2-3 people are reading my story pretty reliably within a few hours whenever I update. I think they might be mildly disappointed if I stopped writing and I have a parasocial relationship with them. Literally 2 people that occasionally comment is all the external motivation I need.

I use a phone. Phone for written too.Pc is for programming, watching anime,sometimes drawing, research, experiments, and some other stuff.
I remember correctly, i was coughing back then and almost well... fainted.



I never double check what i post.....
