I'm just here so I don't get fined.

Not actually sure for the real reason, honestly. I just posted because it's a writing site but the reader base isn't my target audience and bots steal my shit every time I post a chapter.

Edit: I also cross post on RR and some other places and have received much better reception elsewhere.

I heard about this site when I was looking for webnovel publishing sites for my friend, and from what I'd heard, royal road seemed like a bad place for a first time author. That friend still hasn't started writing yet.

It is so, so, SO FUCKING accessible.
I was introduced by a reader and the first moment he saw me the front page I know exactly where tf to click to search, where to click to write, where to click to sign up and shit. I usually hate minimalisium but god I'm going to nut every time I see Tony and his masterful interface web design skills.
Oh

And porn

For me it's just the most comfortable site. I've been to multiple sites, notably including Webnovel, Scribble, and RoyalRoad, but also other, and Scribble was decidedly the easiest and most comfortable to navigate and write in. It lacks a couple features other sites have, but they aren't any crucial features; I can go about without them just fine.

Webnovel, for example, has its famous contracts and, at least to me, has unintuitive UI and search function. RoyalRoad has weirdly small number of tags, a bit weird algorithm, and has a generally less friendly community.

Really, I think Scribble isn't all that outstanding in any way, but has virtually no cons. Maybe except popularity.

For my English stories, there are simply more readers in here. Also, the people here are friendly. I post my German stories on AO3, and some on DeviantArt, but I doubt that those on DeviantArt are being read, even if I am getting views there. Still, they were good practice.
