Why must it be this way? Why not just continue with a new MC?
I've considered this in this thread:

Personally, I think it comes down to balance of everything so far, and how well they mesh with your narrative as a whole.
Some fights work great for symbolism.
Others work great for action sequences.
Some work wonders because they're short.
Others, because they aren't.

Ultimately, it's about what your narrative needs in the moment, and what purpose the fight serves in that narrative and the scale of ability/power between the characters involved, and why they are in conflict.

Not forgetting how people tend to fight as they behave. You can't have a flower picker fighting a kid kicker both doing the same exact motions for the fight. Fighting is talking with your fists. Congrats. A story is a bunch of dialogue and set pieces. Characters not robots.

Describe the brutal injuries the fighters inflict on each other in detail, and don’t let them get to powerful cuz honestly reading a scene where the combatants are mcu avengers level or lower is the best, too powerful and it just doesnt have to right feel unless its describing how their injured, don’t forget the blood and gore tag!
