What kind of music do you usually listen to when you’re writing something?

Sou só eu que ouço canções nacionais com temas heroicos enquanto escrevo ficção?
Agradeço seu excelente gosto musical; minhas cenas de ação e emoções intensas agora estão a salvo!
Wow, everyone's got such cool taste in music.

I try to listen to music without lyrics or with lyrics I don't understand since I get easily distracted by them.
My choice varies but recently it's been a lot of RADWIMPS and Vaundy.

wow, I loved the second song, thank you for the recommendation.
Eu não ouço música enquanto escrevo, bem, não consigo me concentrar enquanto ouço música.?
I’m so sorry for you :( The official “Writers Addicted to Music While Writing” association will hold a dramatic emergency prayer at 23:99 sharp in honor

For me it depends. I listen to music that fits the situation, usually. Action scenes, I listen to something fast paced, like enigmatic encounter. For more slice of life scenes, I'll just write whatever sets the mood I'm going for, but I often listen to just random elevator music.

Music distracts me while writing, unfortunately. I can have ambient music play for a little while but about 5-10 minutes, it'll eventually distract me, too.

It's really best for me not to turn on music when writing.
I don't listen to music while writing, well i can't focus while listening to music ?
OMG same! ?

Deep focus dark music. Or piano, orchestral, symphonic, orchestral versions of OSTs that I love from anime and games, Dark Souls, Undertale, Nier Automata, etc.

Sometimes, I pump myself up with Anime Openings and imagine how the Anime opening of my series would be depending on the arc and song, and then I end up not writing anything and doing karaoke all night.

I listened to Classical Bushido Music if I became stress to write the novel. Sometimes FNF music tracks, rap music and others

I have a big problem: I’ve become addicted to writing while listening to music, which isn’t very good because in silent places, with no atmosphere or emotional charge, I simply can’t write and I believe many writers are like this, so please send me your best songs and help out a fellow writer with some serious bad habits, I need to draw emotions from music and put them into my texts. Music helps me reflect and dive deeper into what I write, but I’m running out of songs that spark new emotions for me to work with, so here I am, on my knees, begging for good songs that I don’t know yet.

Here are my two favorite songs to write to:
Does the Swallow Dream of Flying – Cosmo Sheldrake
Love Me – She Wants Revenge
I listen to nothing but my neighbors' disturbing sounds and them moving furniture across the floor every minute. I wonder how many have they ended so far.

If there is music playing while I'm writing, 95% of the time it's because someone else turned it on and I didn't notice. The other 5% is because some random line in something (usually either pre-1980 pop, or mid-80s "counter-culture" (Punk, New Wave, etc.) stuff) inspired me to start and I just kept going.

It really depends on the project I'm working on.
For The Elarian Chronicles and Aethara though, I tend to listen to a lot of symphonic metal (Nightwish, Kamelot, Within Temptation, etc etc)
For Aestelle Nocte, it really depends on the the chapter content, but it will be one of a few different character-centric playlist mixes that I've put together.

White noise. Just found out that I'm having a hard time writing with music because my ADHD flares up for some odd reason...

It depends of the theme of the story. If I'm writing horror I'll listen to love songs

Am I the only one who hears national songs with heroic themes while writing the fiction?
Nope. I do the same thing, I mat be biased towards the US anthem but "The rockets red glare" is pretty fire for a poem turned into a anthem.
