What is your way of recovering from a simple illness?

I'm NOT asking for advice. Although I'm currently ill, I almost recovered. However, my illness got me thinking. When you fell ill, how do you all recover from illnesses like a common cold or flu? I'm not accusing anyone here, but there are some people who like to give advice, yet they don't follow them. So I want you all to be as honest as possible when you asnwer.

The way I treat a simple illness like a common cold or a flu is nothing special. I put a lot of clothes on, like knitted socks, hoodie, scarf, and so on. Drink lots of hot tea with honey and lemon, and try to sleep with at least some clothes on to sweat it out. Usually helps me recover in a few days. I might have runny nose for a few more days, but weakness, sore throat, and headache usually disappear in a day or two. If my throat hurts a lot, I take some lozenges. That's it.

What about you?

Wear warmer clothes, spend time under a blanket if it's possible (for example when I'm playing games or working on something on the computer), make sure to sleep under the futon, eat vitamin C. If feet cold, dip them in hot water.

Long hot steamy showers and sleep immediately after
Can't emphasize enough how effective this is, if it's at all a viral fever then a hot hot shower and then straight to bed cocooning yourself in a blanket is the best home remedy without any "nature products"

If this doesn't solve it in a day, then i visit the doc simple.

All of my illnesses have always been either mild annoyances or "sleep for 2 weeks in the hospital with people praying that I don't die". Nothing in between. as such, I usually just rely on OTC meds like lozenges and cough drops or mucinex and I sleep a little more. In the case of the latter type of illness, it's entirely out of my hands.

I rest at a bonfire, then I get attacked in my sleep because I'm in Gank Souls 2

Avoid coldness (lots of warm clothes), a lot of sleep (it's the most effective yet I don't always follow through lol), drinking lots of warm water or tea (with honey when my throat hurts), do trad med hack by rubbing tiger balm with a silver coin on the back/chest/neck/throat then go to bed and sweat out a chunk (also good to prevent colds from breaking out)

if all doesn't help, then go to the doc for more potent meds and sickness leave ticket
