The few times I have written I have noticed how I simply don't explain a thing and just let it be open for interpretation but it might make my texts immersive and weird, I have a lot worldbuilding knowledge but putting it on paper I never did.

How many personalities do you have? Maybe you just need to find and tap a few more to fill in the gaps?
Quite a few. More than is credible, according to one of our members. But we've hand counted over 200 who've come forward.

We do tend to write in groups, with one of us playing author/Game Master, and the rest roleplaying the other characters. This is why we do so well with improvised, off the cuff stories. They're more like role playing games and more fun for us. With a carefully planned out story, it's harder to get anyone in our system interested in contributing.

Cool, so more like a home brewed Dnd quest put into writing, with all the chaos that comes with.
That definitly would address one of the things I struggle with- giving each character a unique 'voice'.

It seems like your style of writing is nonsense writing like Lewis Caroll's.

I know I have several of both but the pair that comes to mind first is humor.

My strength is "unplanned" humor - finding silliness in moments where it may not be appropriate normally, or where it may derail things a bit but feels kind of natural (at least to me).

My weakness is PLANNED humor; intentionally writing a "true comedy" is just not something I can do; it always feels forced and weak when I try.

I suppose another pair is genre blending - I have trouble sticking to a single genre, but I also SOMETIMES have an ability to meld them in ways that, when they work, work well, but when they don't, they crash and burn.

Probably have another weakness in wordiness. No strength that I am aware of to balance that one though.

Biggest strengths are twists, action/fight scenes, eating/food scenes, climactic holy-crap moments, settings/details/imagery/overall vividness, mystery/thriller-type narrations (it's kind of my bread and butter, really), willingness to edit/revise/even rewrite stuff to make sure there are no plot holes, and research.

Biggest weaknesses are starting stories/beginnings (I often have to revise or rewrite my beginnings or start new beginnings from scratch after posting), not knowing how to continue/missing important things that slip past my radar b/c of my over-familiarity with what I'm writing, writer's block/burnout, and just plain procrastination.

My weakness is that I extend my writing a bit much, tends to overcomplicate things.
My real weakness though is Water types and chocolate, I am not allergic it's just a slight chocolate craze I go into.

For about six months, give or take, I’ve been working on my book, and in that time, I’ve found out what my strengths and weaknesses as a writer are.
My weakness is that I’m not good with complex systems that need me to keep track of a lot of numbers. For example, before I started my current project, I got caught up in a NaNoWriMo event and tried writing a litRPG, but after only a few chapters, I gave up on the story. There were just too many things to keep track of.

I didn't learn from that. The first draft of my novel was supposed to be an epic fantasy with a complex three-layer magic and relic system. Everything from the types of metal used for weapons and armor to the food buffs they ate that morning would affect the characters' strength. It was too much, to say the least. I have since streamlined my magic system and cut out most of my old ideas, and writing has become easier.

My strength, I would say, is dry and situational humor. I recently wrote an intro for a story about a group of misfit merchants who can mess up even the easiest job. I put in as much dry humor as I could, and I have never had as much fun writing a scene as I did with that one.

With all that said, what are your strengths and weaknesses as a writer, and how long did it take you to figure them out?
Strength: I am consistent.
Weakness: I'm lazy as hell.

Weaknesses: Not having a plan for a given chapter
Strengths: despite not having a plan for a chapter, it still somehow working out

My greatest strength is probably also my greatest weakness - my personal dissatisfaction with everything I produce. Why strength? Because I don't publish anything I'm not completely satisfied with. So I only publish things that meet my own personal standards of quality & this is probably my greatest weakness: it takes me half an eternity to write and progress my stories.

Apart from that, I think I'm quite good at integrating characters into a story and working out their backgrounds...while at the same time my characters' decisions don't always make sense. However, since I've been paying more attention to this, and not just writing what sounds funny in my head, I feel that my writing has slowed down a bit.
