:blob_hmm_two: Interesting.

the toxic version wouldn’t have a morale of ‘you let your kid do what you want only if it nearly died’ right?

Then I would read. But only if it doesn’t include rape, cause that’s overused and often badly written.
My point was more that people are way too scared of non-hetero romance. Although I haven't read that much myself, it's hardly different from straight romance. Like it's two people falling in love, genitals and gender aren't actually that much of a factor.

Rape seems to be a bad trope not only in BL but also hetero romance. So far I feel like GL is where it's the least common. I think BL has an issue with rape since there's an emphasis on dominance and the top/bottom stuff. Or at least that's my observation since I keep getting flagged as a bottom whenever I get shipped with another guy.
I hope none of them take that toxic mindset into reality.

:blob_neutral: Don't remind me. I'm trying to blend that out in my small community of queer fiction writers.

I don't know about GL, but the other points I agree. :blob_hmm_two: I understand the categorizing in fiction, but it's hard to judge irl imo. Bold of them to assume bed affairs of irl people :blob_blank: (that's hella creepy for me...)

Don't forget TG material. Half of what is online involves someone not consenting towards whatever sexual scenario is going on.

TG?
wattpad is only good for teenage melodrama

because it's for teenagers. come on, grandpa. it's time for bed
Call me ancestor. Indeed, I'm old. I already barfed at that stuff when I was that age.

I'm sorry for children with names like Ares, Artemis, and other obnoxious names for the sake of standing out. Please, spare the world from another Twilight and Fifty Shades of Gray just with another name and more attractive actors :blob_no:

I attribute this mostly due to the fact that the majority of the irl shippers I meet being socially inept art girls. They're not accustomed to hearing straight dudes talking about hypothetically gangbanging each other as a joke. Plus I'm the short cute guy in all my male friend groups, so their line of reasoning makes (((some))) sense.

...what can I say. You probably didn't say "no homo". That must be it. Fish smart. :blob_melt:

Transgender. I've come across way too many titles that had somebody forcibly transformed and used as if they were an object. Remember, I said half of what's found online. The other half can be fun and wholesome, you just have to tread carefully in search of those. :blob_hide:

I would have stayed if they didn't ban me. The contests were fun. Maybe getting too many awards for a story about a whore triggered the wrong people.

Saying no homo is a pain. Like I don't want to say it after every joke, handholding session, and kiss. People just need to understand that the majority of men are homiesexuals, not homosexuals.

It's another place to post. On the more weeby side, it's also very popular with the "x reader" type stories that you probably wouldn't ever get anywhere else.
