For me, it's when I got a zooming out shot of the Cathedral Terra at the beginning of Gurren Lagann. Holy shit! It was so cool.

As a mecha fan, there are many, but I don't have the memory to describe them all.

My hair stands on end when I watch Macross Delta and the music really matches the beat of the battles, especially when the girls are all in sync.

Gurren Lagann forever makes me giddy.

Gundam IBO, Thunderbolt, and Unicorn really tickle my insides with their battle scenes.

But I think the real moment that always sticks out for me is this moment in Gurren Lagann;

I first saw it when I was a youngin' and it's always been a standout scene to me. The duality of it all. The moment when the story and adventure really begins. It's the breakthrough moment, literally, that's always set itself apart when compared to other scenes. I do love my battle moments and flashy robot fights, but this one has been probably the most impactful to me.

Yeah, this shot is phenomenal too. Now that I am much older. Shots like this got me sentimental with how beautiful they are, probably because I had learnt to appreciate its beauty.

That moment when someone said they were making a vampire mecha.
