Honestly, doesn’t matter to me. I can write anything I put my mind to.

rationalist fiction of every kind. I just can't go full intellectual mode for a 100 000 words, It's hard enough to write a complex story, now you have to write a protagonist that thinks like a human calculator too. It's pretty tough.

Hot Steamy Romance ~ due to lack of practice writing this kind I suppose.

Smut ~ it is hard not to nut before finishing a few sentences, so not much ever gets done.

I avoid these genres for these reasons.

I seem to excel in fantasy though.

Surprisingly, I apparently write good romance? And I am ace with no relationship experience.

Turns out write people doing people things is all it takes to be good at it.

I'm also aromantic. And asexual. And writing a romance, lmaoooo.

A dark steamy Boys Love to be exact. I'm worried that it'll feel strange because of this, but so far it looks okay.

It helps if you write about things you know more about. It lets the details flow because you can picture it in your mind. And the opposite is also true. Things you don't know much about will be harder to write about because you have less foundation.

So people who read a lot about a LOT of topics, not confined to any one thing but who like reading can be good writers. Potentially.
