What is that one BS item that your character has access to?

You know how sometimes a character will get some item whose effects are far too vague to be practical but so overpowered and broken that it could have any number of bullshit abilities? Yeah, that's a Bullshit item. You may have more than one Bullshit item, but what is the main one that your character has and either doesn't use or uses too much? why do they use or don't use the item? I'll go first: Claidheamh, a sword capable of absorbing any form of magical energy into itself that can be released in a controlled strike at will. Its blade glows an ethereal purple color similar to the Danganronpa blood and comes with matching ethereal armor. My MC would rather use a revolver because it's easier just to shoot the enemy than to fight them in melee combat.

Oh boy, I write a story full of people trying very hard to be mary sues, so one I might say is the sword to slash away "concepts"
Fatigue? What's that?
Black holes? Never existed, Albert Einstein speaking gibberish again.
Your existence? Gone quicker than the one who leaked GTA 6

Me. The author. There is no bigger bullshitter than the one who writes the story.

Jokes aside, I didn't give them items. They just survive. Some way or another. Sometimes not unscathed but survive nonetheless. I am doing this wrong, aren't I?

My boy Shiro has this uncanny ability to demolish any shoe he wears. Sneakers, Wellingtons, brogues, slip-on canvases, you name it. Hell, you give him an industrial pair of steel-tipped work boots and he'll turn them into an unwearable state in a month or two.

He doesn't even do it on purpose. His feet are that fucked up. He could wear a pair of flip-flops to the convenience store once a week and it'll somehow come back in tattered pieces by the fifth trip; or sixth, if he takes them off during the return journey.

That's why Shiro's mostly barefoot wherever he goes. The bottom of his soles is thick enough to withstand harsh conditions anyway. He does keep an emergency pair of slippers with him, though; like if he visits a "no shoes, no service" diner.

A katana named Apollo. It is bullshit because whoever wields it can increase the speed they run at infinitely, provided they train with it enough. Apollo is stated to have no power limit, so kinda bullshit. The MC uses it all the time because, well, enhanced speed is very useful in a fight.

don't know if it counts as BS item, but I have a thing for my main character that is called multi-weapon. Basically, is technology that can analyse and take for of any weapon he comes in contact with it. And as he has potential to use a multitude of weapons, is something he will use fairly constant

Could be considered OP in certain settings but it's more or less not.

My MC gets a key that can open every lock it fits into. Downside to it is that uses its wielders blood as fuel, so every opened lock is accompanied by heavy blood loss

Living wood weapons. They are basically green wood + nature spirit + a wielder who has druidic powers = becomes whatever you want it to become.

Add to this formula that all the fey have druidic powers and start giving these things to all the upper-rank fey, you get an army of magic soldiers armed to the teeth with just one piece of gear.

That said, what the weapon can do does depend somewhat on your ability with nature magic. My MC happens to break the mold a little bit in that area and pretty much waged a 1-girl war against the highest level squad in the demon army and nearly pushed them to a stalemate just by jumping around everywhere and growing trees and grass all over the place. (Should probably add the fact that these trees interfered with earth magic and all the demons here were earth magic users. Earth magic is even more BS in my world, and nature magic is about the only thing that can even hope to fight it.)

Now Now,

items with OP kinds of power like that have to have consequences

**Depletes the wielder's HP/Stamina
* Takes two weeks to power back up.
* leaves the wielder susceptible to (mild) demon possession.

Oh, yeah. Mine can only absorb an amount up to the amount that the user can handle. If they attempt to absorb more then the user will explode in a ball of magical flames equal to the absorbed power. It also gets heavier to the user the longer they use it without putting it back in the sheath.
