I think the conversation went a bit off topic and a lot of people started going into what soul damage is rather than stories that have it. I did see a few people give real recommendations, but let's stay on task. Now, if you're looking for stuff on the site, then I can't really give you any good recommendations as a new member. My story technically does, but it doesn't suit what you're looking for since in my story it's written as energy that can be recovered, so not recommended for your preference, probably. If your fine with actual light novels or books that have that kind of stuff, then technically the light novels for SAO and Rising of the shield hero fall into that category, but that's stretching the category a bit, sorry I couldn't help more.

3. Chinese cultivation, two types such as the wacky cutivator's consciousness that is like esper's astral projection and the traditional three souls and seven souls. The former is like an extrasensory perception part of the body aka feelers and tendrils and damage done to them will include headache, dimmed feeler usage and even loss of concentration etc. The latter 3 hun 7 po is the trad chinese thing where a person is retarded after losing 1 hun 2 po. That's kind of it.
You could also consider damaging the cultivation foundation or inflicting heart demons as a form of soul damage.
Tbh mentioning hun po in cultivation novels doesn't seem too common.

Just dumb down the usual internal/external wounds the chinese love to use and replace it with body/soul. Any wounds you can't see? Soul wound. Perfectly valid and in-universe to say "I stretched the boundaries of my mortal perception too far and got a soul wound" instead of "I overstretched and hurt my muscles" in a cultivation setting.
