you can defrost chicken rather quickly by putting it in cool water and a lot of modern microwaves have a defrost button (though I'd reccomend not letting it go for too long as they can also "cook" the chicken in places)

So anyways, wrap the whole chicken in a heat bag and put it in a large enough pot with water then put it on the stove at low heat until it thaws and immediately pour water over it to cool it down.

It may not be ethical but at least its thawed...

I have a PTSD flashback to having the shit beat out of me on and off for over a decade and more than likely completely go batshit insane on her, and likely beat her to death, because my mother was a frail woman who had to fight cancer most of her life. I doubt she would survive when I go into a berserk frenzy and lose all sense of reality.
