Female, female, male, male!
Correct! Here's a cookie. Since Ai-chan doesn't bake a cookie, Ai-chan can only offer a creative commons cookie.

What was your reasoning for your answer?

Anyway, whoever wants to try out the name generator, the first version is on Ai-chan's Author Tools thread. Go check it out. Ai-chan is coding a new program to assist authors who are stumped about how to name their characters, towns, guilds or nations, but Ai-chan is being attacked by Procrasti Nation, so until the attack ends, Ai-chan can't offer it. Would be great if anyone can help Ai-chan sort out the data though. Coding it is easy, sorting the data is a pain in the butthole.

*hugs* \(^^)/

And uhn... Reasoning? That's mostly non-existent, it was mainly gut feeling, like...

Nenuriri resembles Nene + Riri, both feel like female names or nicknames, so I went with Female.

Hefumefu resembles mofumofu, and I felt like mofumofu would be better suited as a girl's name.

Argeal resembles Argen and that feels like a man's name.

Harsanean feels like the kind of name you'd give to a man that tries to exude an aura of being "badass" or whatever, so even his name had to be intimidating or something.

... And that was roughly my thought process.

I started a very simple policy for my names: Something that I can do a ctrl+f for and not get a bunch of hits that aren't the intended character. Started that rule after accidentally getting annoyed by a name that wasn't as easy to search for. (handy for when I need to double check on what that character has been involved in last)

i wouldn't even worry about it. I'm writing a fanfic myself and the options i had for the MC's name to stay in line with the original were abysmal. they were "The Beast, Stradetch, Chikchikaar, Grattchereb, Groklogh, PtrGraan, Tsbopphd, Mukluhkk and Ragewaar". Ragewaar might have sounded cool but X chapters in i doubt it would be nice for me or the readers. so i just took Chikchikaar and slashed the name down to Chia and called it good.
He's mad i tell you. mad.

The Actress formerly known as Lai Fefe

In the story The Little Prince, the characters were merely labeled by what they were. Only the asteroid was given a name.
