A mature slice of life type story, somewhat wholesome, a bit lewd.

Random story idea: WiP title
My New Mommy: Some Assembly Required

Shota character is constantly home alone; Doing chores, taking care of the house, cooking, cleaning, fixing things that break, or need replacing, all while going to school, and doing homework. His dad is overseas for work, and only comes home twice a year.

The shota sees an advertisement, one day on his way home from school, about an automaton maid that can learn, and adapt to personal homelife daily needs. Though, only a beta version is currently available. The full model would be coming out in a few years once all the software is perfected. But.. before he walks away, he catches sight of an emblem he'd seen before at the bottom corner of the ad. It turns out his father works for one of the companies involved in making the micro-chips being distributed to the creators of the automaton maid.

Once home, looking it up online, the website explains he can get a huge discount for being associated in its development, and an even larger discount if their household is willing to test one of the beta models. Bringing the total price down to almost nothing! It was a steal! After filling out the application, and adding it to the family cart, he immediately gets an email congratulating him on his new purchase. Soon, he thought, he could have someone to talk to, and maybe give him a helping hand with the housework. It sounded like a dream come true.

In the morning, before school, he gets a knock at the door.
An absolutely gorgeous-looking woman he'd never seen before, is standing just beyond the door, adjusting her dress, and brushing her lap from any wrinkles that may be plaguing the fabric.

He opens the door, and seeing her excitement, she greets him. "Hi there, cutie!" She bends over as she holds out her hand for a shake, "I'm your new maid!" She smiles sweetly. "Are your parents home?"

Just looked it up. sounds crazy. I don't know about patriarchal feminist themes. I figured more like pinocchio.

LOVE this setup. The title alone got me.
What works: Lonely kid just wanting someone to talk to. That's your heart right there. Is Beta maid being glitchy? Comedy gold. Him teaching her stuff? Chef's kiss. What I want to see: Her messing up chores in funny ways. Little moments where she starts feeling "real." Dad came home confused af. What I DON'T want to see: Please don't make it weird. Keep him a kid. Keep her maternal/protective in a genuine way. That's not what this story is about. Sweet concept. I would read it.

more... comedic lewdness? like your idea of messing up chores, doing laundry, and thinking OH i should wash everything! starts removing shirt. Kid runs up like AHH no! No you can't do that! teaches her about modesty, and being a "proper" lady (from a kids/ little boys perspective), but while not looking at her rebuttoning her shirt or something, she turns to add WAY too much soap, making the washer bubble over. and now he has to ALSO clean up, while doing the laundry.
or the usual.. anime bathtime -panic* i can wash myself! slams door. and she's sad after his bath cause he slammed the door on her.
silly things that turn out more wholesome than lewd. two paths kind of deal, but leaving the OTHER path for those who want to make THOSE fanfics or doujin. xD lol you get it.. I got you.

I lost a hard drive a ways back. I used to have a meme that went around. It was just one of those weird comic books? Anime, manga, whatever you call that stuff. Anyways, it was a 4 panels comic. The adult brought home a "milk maid". For his teenage son. She was for... cooking, cleaning, and of course fresh wholesome milk. The milk maid, was dressed up as an over the top sex pot. Mega booba. She just said "moo." in the last panel. I don't know, we all thought it was hysterical and the meme went around. As in, if you were "milking something", trying too hard? That was the meme someone threw up.

I think the obvious joke I'm making, is that if you're talking screwball comedy anyways maybe... imagibe the boys surprise when she provides "fresh wholesome milk" for his cereal. Then, while he's nervous asking the dad about this? Dad just asks like nothing is amiss... as she "creams" his coffee.
"so, what's the issue, son? You seem troubled."
"Uh. Nothing, dad."
"Well? You're gonna be late for school! Eat your cereal."

just my weird sense of humor.

This sounds like the plot to Papa no Sexy Doll but with a male MC rather than a female MC. Keep in mind that ScribbleHub does not like lolis or shotas in explicit situations.
