Do you think my Antagonist, who wields Time Magics, is a good idea to make a decent story arc that summons various characters from other timelines or realities in 19th-century style fantasy World building? the characters that my Mc is going to face or battle were: Benito Mussolini (Who recently overthrow the Italian king with advanced military in my novel script), Vortigern (making a move somewhere in France), and finally Eumenes (he went back to the place he originates from).

I mean Mussolini was primarily a showman. Everything he did was carefully staged to cultivate and project power. He could be an interesting antagonist but if you just summon the guy like it’s a roll on a Gacha game he wouldn’t have a lot of direct personal power.

I like you to elaborate more about the Gacha, Cause I don't get it. Forgive me

He also was summoned from another reality But suffocated to death in the place where he died. (That bunker didn't exist back then in a 19th-century setting)

Hmm I don't find it necessary to add any Japanese character in my novel. The Arc I'm planning is solely based in Europe. I don't have any plans for any of the Main characters traveling to East Asia.

PS: What do you of the Idea, Hop?

sounds like the typical qidian novel before they changed their guidelines. used to be full of historical characters with slightly misspelled yet recognizable names.

I like your source. the time magic part is novel, usually these just pop out of a time rift or something.

If the antagonist wants to win atleast made him watch history first lol. Instead of Mussolini, maybe he should call Hannibal instead.

What I mean is that *as an individual* Mussolini is not exactly supervillain material unless he brought along a mech suit or something (and if he did he probably wouldn’t be the best person to use it.) He wasn’t even the best charismatic rabble rouser in Europe at the time (that would probably be the man who ruined the Charlie Chaplin mustache).

Mussolini was very good at playing into existing conflicts and existing social dynamics to direct a revolutionary sentiment towards the philosophy he followed. If you pluck him out of the ether, you’ll need to do a lot of work to get him into a leadership position, or use him as an advisor on PR. Which he’d be good at, but definitely not what someone casting “mass summon futuristic evil overlord” would be going for.

That said, a great ancient general would need to do a lot of work brushing up on modern military doctrine and capabilities to bring their usefulness in line with the average modern graduate from a military academy, so I ASSUME these people would all have something that makes them more impressive than their irl counterparts being summoned without any explanations given.

I don't know, stories using time magic are hard to pull off. But yeah, mussolini was kinda an embarrassment to his allies in terms of military accomplishments.

You got so many Italian supervillains to choose from and you chose the ham actor?:ROFLMAO:
Why not Caligula, Nero, or heck, Julius Ceasar as a villain?

If they can manipulate time enough to summon dead people why aren't they using their magic to unsummon living people? I've only ever seen this done in a Shrek movie

Another addition, why don't the antagonist go snatch some bioweapons and give that to the right villain in history?
