What do you think about multiple main lead stories?

Move the plot forward with character development, or have the plot affect your characters' points of view. It doesn’t have to be two separate things to write.

Deuteragonists can be fun additions to stories, especially if they help develop their counterpart.

But yes, as other people mentioned, it can get tedious reading the same event again and again. So keep the story moving as you change POV. :D

So,it's about 4 princesses who are besties. One day they find smthing interesting and decide to investigate.the story is about their journey of how they find some unexpected truth while investigating
Oh so all 4 are main characters? That's very tricky, difficult but not impossible. Have you written any work before that include more than one MC?
U mean u skip to storyline or character development?
Did you mean to reply to me? Feels like my comment was added with no relation to your response haha :blob_happy:

It can work - GoT is a great example of a multiple "main lead" story.

I suppose your question is indirectly promoting your story (:P) - it depends on what you want to achieve in the end.

Quick feedback after reading your 3 chapters:
I've had a quick look at your story, and from what I can see so far, I'm not convinced that it will work out this way...especially considering that your chapters average 400-450 words...which is ~100-125 words per chapter for each of your 4 (?) planned main characters (I'm aware that chapter 1 is only 50-100 words, as it's just a quick overview of the 8 currently planned characters...).

Personally, I don't mind if a story has only one MC or more...especially since I love writing RPGs...but I think to make it work, it needs both good character development and story development. It depends a lot on whether you want to keep the characters together all the time or separate them sooner or later. There are many factors to consider. But at the moment, though, all I can see is a bunch of dialogues and names that you can change at random. :/

Ok,so I started posting this story as a complete newbie who knew nothing abt web novel world. Now that I started posting.I also can see that I should have piled up some long chapters before posting. But,as I already started it,I don't know what to do. I can't also write long chapters in a short time.

Yeah,it's tough. And I didn't write any multiple MC story before. So,it makes it tougher.

No one stops you from reworking it? I don't see the problem. I had 15 chapters prepared before posting the first one. Took me a month...but I write for myself and was looking for a place to share it with some friends of mine as reading in a google docs was not the best way to go. They are reading it silently and most of them do not even have a SH-account. Every additional reader is a bonus for me. :D
I can't also write long chapters in a short time.
Why in a short time? You can set your own pace for publishing new chapters? I already had the impression, that chapter 4 was rushed considering the amount of spaces missing across the whole text.

Seriously - take your time and don't rush it. Only publish things, you are really happy with. :)

I guess I will just take some time to edit and repost and write longer chapters in future.
Even, I am planning on making the first 2/3 chapters into 1 ?.But not rn.

Well, it can be done, but you should make sure all 4 princesses have different characteristics. I mean, people are never 100% similar. You can handle them like real people, and not like fictional characters.

You know, just as Shrek once said, Ogres are like onions, they have layers.
