What do you think about images in a novel?

Ads never appeared to me even with adblock turned off idk why

If it never appeared on any story whatsoever, then you probably have something else blocking it.

If it didn't appear in some stories, then it's probably due to genres/tags on the story, like... Advertisers don't want their product on R-18 stuff, so ads don't show in smut stories IIRC.

There might be other restrictions like that that stop ads from appearing in certain novel pages.

it's one thing if it's like a map but I generally don't like random character images inserted into the story, it's immersion breaking; have the images be an optional view by putting it under spoilers at the bottom
