Tuna, mayonaise, and zuchinni relish.
Alternatively: potato, 2 types of chese, sweet pickle, hardboiled eggs, and mayonaise.

Spinach is for soup; lettuce is for sandwiches and tacos.

Used to be eggs were cheap.

They just rose in cost by multiple dollars across the board where I live.

So… not eggs anymore.

And if you’re on a budget, Crab Louie is out. So are my Argentinian red shrimp which I bet would be great in a salad. And Parmesan cheese is good time with green olives.

Ultimately, I saw don’t look et salad as only being one type.

There are green salads, fruit salads, and lovely mixes of both (persimmon, blueberry, and cashews go pretty good in an otherwise standard green salad with lettuce, red onion, tomatoes, peppers, and carrots — maybe hold the black olives and eggs).

If I might suggest, if fiber is at all a part of the reasoning for salads (which aren’t cheap really…): try Metamucil or its ilk. I used to be a frenzy for fruit, now I don’t experience a dire physical need for the stuff.

There’s bean salads, and pasta salads, and even meaty sauerkraut salads if you’re adventurous.

What is a taco so full you can’t eat it but an elaborate meat salad?

Salads are a thing I enjoy making very much, and which make me happier every time I have them.

They don’t need salt, though pepper can make it very fun to eat lettuce and egg together, and there is nothing wrong with just eating lettuce as a salad.

You can top it with things that are bad for you, but you really don’t need to.

Green onions or get out. Ginger and sesame can work surprisingly okay in a cabbage and carrot salad, don’t forget coleslaw is a thing and that it can be healthy if you just don’t add the cream (or hyper sugared cranberries).

Beyond that, there’s a joy in the simplicity of carrot sticks and celery until it gets caught in your overwrought teeth.

Infinite love, best of luck with your salad and your goals this year.
True! Especially about the egg part (maybe its because its still the holiday season, but they cost $10+ where I live)
And thanks!

If you want healthy, here is what you could use as well.

Spring Salad Mix (spnich mixed with things that don't taste as bad).
One serving of Sharp Cheddar Cheese. (don't overdo this)
One/Two servings of Feta Cheese crumbles. (don't overdo this either)
One cut Fresh Advocado (the oil from this should replace the olive oils).
Olives (optional)
Small portion (really don't over do it) of Red onions
One Chopped Soft Boiled Egg
Chopped Peppers (optional)

Stir + Eat
If done right, you should not need the dressings.
The cheeses and onion slices can quickly overpower the flavor, so be careful how much is added at will.
