This is something that I thought about while I was coming up with the story in my head. I haven't fully fleshed that part but I am interested to know what you guys imagine your main casts' post story future to be like.

For most of them, I expect it to be open to sequels.
At least one will die though and be reunited decades later with loved ones.

Never really thought of the after because any kind of sequels or future stories are always planned out in my head (even if I never do them). Even the downer endings kind of just make me think the main characters ride off to spend lots of time together without the rest of the world intruding.

CB - Living free in an apocalyptic world and murdering anyone who threatens their weird little family group. Probably made their own base where certain groups can live without the normies trying to kill them or use them for lab rats. Also coming to terms with the fact that the core three of them are going to live a very, very long time.

TTaC - Finding a quiet place away from people to settle down with the occasional foray into populated areas to get food. Also making up for lost time as this is the first time the main characters were both functioning adults despite being the third life through the apocalypse.

PatGD - Probably a happily ever after living their best lives ruling a Grand Dukedom trying to make lots of potential heirs while leaving the consequences of the Grand Duke's actions to his brother to deal with.

DG Series - Eventually awkwardly leading a new belief system as the main character has become the most powerful magical being still existing. Mostly hiding away in a small cottage and/or magical dreamscape so that no one knows her. All while avoiding any lore from Veilguard.

LB - After dealing with tranquility (basically magical lobotomy), attempting to make half-elf babies and travelling Thedas to right wrongs, rescue slaves, kill evil doers and so on while still avoiding any lore from Veilguard.

SfAL - Dealing with the aftermath of killing the "one who destroyed the world" and the reality of what being the Dragonborn in Thedas really means. Probably a few characters dealing with depression after dealing with the previous stuff. Also while avoiding any lore from Veilguard.

BV - Reminiscing about the past and travelling the world to see all the famous tourist locations. Possibly visiting the location a particular ritual happened to reconnect with a long distant past. Lots of boning. This story is my badly written smut dump so I imagine that doesn't get toned down after the antagonists are dealt with.

Considering nobody reads my story anyway, it's not exactly like I need a spoiler warning. Probably just him getting married to the love interest a few years later, have a kid, and let that be the end of it instead of pulling a Boruto and making a sequel about the kid. Plus, all the stuff his job entails on top of it, which is just boring political nonsense.

My story is an isekai but the specific nature of the Isekai and his powers derived from it is a bit weird and has long term implications.

He’s become an eldritch spirit, a kind of minor deity used in my setting’s magic system. They spend all their time in an eternal nothing space that’s a borderline sensory deprivation chamber in between worlds.

The person he is in the body of accidentally summoned him and ended up fully possessed by MC, who wasn’t a spirit for long enough to learn anything vaguely resembling restraint. All the cheat powers are because Emrys the drow sorcerer is channeling way too much of an entity that is infused with the void.

Someday, likely before the story is over, Curtis will be drawn back into the void. He will be trapped there to slowly go mad unless he figures out his own summoning ritual and disseminates that information. Even then, he will mostly only be summoned by people who know what they are doing and will likely never get his own body again without some serious wheeling and dealing. Good thing drow live a long time!

...and they live happily ever after, but
If we use the trope of fictional endings, there are many types of fictional endings, with a happy ending being just one of the most mainstream. There are tragic endings, like the tragic ending and the bittersweet ending. There are also very gloomy endings, like the downer ending. There are also endings that can be freely interpreted by the reader, such as the open ending. There are also endings that are hanging like a cliffhanger ending. It's simple; readers just have to guess the ending of the story based on the author's narrative pattern.

After my first story ended before it's sequel's official release I always imagine her, a person of immeasurable pride to be challenging every entity in the universe higher than her until she's able to eclipse the pinnacle of power in the whole reality.

And I don't have any drive to write all of that

Shared universe stories.

I am already close to finishing the third such book, and my readers are already able to read the 4th on my Patreon. It's not only fun, but it is also the best way to promote my earlier books for new readers. I had multiple comments that told me they went back and read my other stories.

It's a win-win. I get views, they get completed books.

They are going to be various levels of secondary and background characters in my future stories. One of which involves their current, adopted teenage daughter, and a possible story that would focus on a not-yet-concieved biological child.

I can't say without spoilers but for the main cast in MGC Book 1, I have plans for them to have their own trilogy of stories. The ending isn't a complete win, but it produces hope for the future.

This is a tricky question for me because each Book I have outlined follow a different cast of characters that share the same world and time period. But their is an overarching story that wraps up by the end. I guess we'll see how that goes, I already have an idea and if people enjoy my work and want to see it unfold then I'd be happy to deliver ?
